But the future in a world shrouded in the radioactive red dust clouds of a generation-old global nuclear war depends on finding hidden caches of food, weapons and technology-the legacy of a preholocaust society-stashed in lonely outposts known as redoubts.

When Ryan Cawdor discovers a redoubt in the bitter freakish wasteland that now passes for Alaska, he also uncovers a new threat to a slowly reemerging America.

Roaming bands of survivors have crossed the Bering Strait from Russia to pilage Alaska and use it as the staging ground for an impending invasion of America.

In Deathlands, the war for domination is over, but the struggle for survival continues.

A movie in your mind, and a way to shorten long trips by Kevin O'D (Posted on 11/5/2016)
I found the first Deathlands story riveting, It was so good I was at the point where I was in search of more titles before I was done with the first book. After two rest stops I found 2&3 together on the shelf! It was like hitting the lottery. Great story, great characters.
Wonderful by nicole (Posted on 11/4/2016)
Deathlands has such indepth storylines. It really pulls you in. We find ourselves using the 'Deathand Lingo' after a long a long car ride. It always makes us laugh. Such an awesome series.

2 : Red Holocaust by Glenn (Posted on 11/11/2015)
Great story! The roving Russian gang are extremely brutal , the pursing Russian troops that are after them staunchly unrelenting , and the companions are in top form. One of the absolute best of the series.

Keep it going by JB (Posted on 7/30/2015)
As strong as the male roles are in these stories. Its the ruggedness cold hard steel and softness of Kristy Roth that makes this not just a shoot em up story. More and more u see the actors getting into thier roles. Hearing how Kristy Roth keeps the band together makes me miss my wife more and more when Im on the road for days at a time.
Deathlands 02 Red Holocaust by Grant (Posted on 5/28/2015)
Great plot twist. Pace of the story is a little uneven- but well worth the time to listen to.

At the limit of human endurance,Ryan Cawdor and his War Wag crew face off in the bitter cold of Alaska, against an ancient enemy of another cold war. Will America stand or Fall?

After the fantastic first issue came this was at #2. A big let down for me. Luckily though I stuck with the series and I've bought and listened to all 120 Graphic Audio books so far! This is by far my favorite GA series!

I'm hooked... by Tom (Posted on 12/15/2014)
Just finished the second in the Deathlands series and I must say I'm hooked. Colorful and imaginative with some awesome plot twists. This is theater of the mind (albeit the mind is a bit twisted).

Strongly recommend this to anyone who has a love of apocalyptic SF. The Road Warrior pales by comparison.
Red Holocaust by Mudbug (Posted on 7/30/2014)

Alaska & a huge stockpile, why ever leave. Russian's may have something to say about that. Also, a few good friends but the farm.

Death Lands by Linda (Posted on 4/29/2014)
It keep's you on the edge of your sit. You can't wait to find out what happens next. It make's a long ride a lot shorter.
Multiple Plots Done Well by Vann (Posted on 3/5/2014)
For being so early in the series, this one is an excellent weave of two separate plots that come together in a way that sets the stage for a return villain. This is the type of story line that one would expect further into the series. Well done and very well acted by all.
The Red by Robert (Posted on 1/14/2014)
What a great story. I loved the development of the characters and the interactions between the heroes and the villains. I enjoyed seeing through the eyes of the Russians, it was an interesting perspective to the main antagonist. I look forward to listening to book three soon!
