In the aftermath of the apocalypse little remains except age-old evils of greed, perversion and force. But a small group of survivalists cherishes the legacy of human courage and hope. Led by the charismatic Ryan Cawdor, they persevere in a brutal world through warrior skills and a bold desire to regain the promised future.

The fertile bayous teem with mutant life-forms and altered species. Off on a trek with his son, Ryan fends off the dangers from marauders and Nature''s traps, but also finds signs of hope for humanity''s new future. But the ultimate threat comes upon them in an unguarded moment, shocking in its scope and casting more blame on generations past.

In the Deathlands, nothing is as it appears.

The voice change for Dean definitely throws you off but if you can get past it it's a good story.
Don't Get Bitten by Vann (Posted on 10/4/2016)
This work 'bites' a couple of ways. First, the original work seems off, as if the writer(s) changed in the background, still writing under the pen name of James Axler. This episode was a little disjointed, but none of that falls on Graphic Audio. But what does fall in their domain is the voice change for Dean. Also, again the audio for the characters and the narration can be over ridden by the background sounds or the music. Still a good listen to, but not at the top of the game for either the publisher or Graphic Audio.
did not like dean by alex (Posted on 3/6/2016)
Dean has a different actor playing him and there is alot of the story that doesn't follow the previous books

Very good episode. The companions encounter a group of genetically engineered vampires that has had an iron grip on a village for countless years. Ryan's worst fear comes to light when he looses the sights in his one good eye , and he struggles to overcome the sense of helplessness that brings on. A must have episode for fans of the series.
