85: Breakaway

American servicemen stationed in Okinawa are being attacked by enemies unknown. Harnessing the fury of Okinawa's separatists, the shadow players have manipulated a tidal wave of political unrest and anti-American sentiment. The President has issued orders to lock down all military bases and deploys Mack Bolan to investigate this Asian power struggle.

Bolan must stop an assassin from unleashing a nuclear weapon that could kill thousands of Okinawans and U.S. soldiers, allowing native insurgents to claim that an illegally stored American weapon has accidently detonated. The fallout from such an incident will force America from the islands, leaving the Pacific open to Communist China...

having listened to almost all the bolan books GA has put out, this one remains my favorite. coming in at about 8+ hours without a dull moment, this one is chock full of action.

Very good Super Bolan - this one shows he is nin invulnerable as he takes as much as he gives, which is unusual. Always great to see non-Stony Man characters from previous books show up, and Agent Honda from Japan kicks butt. Only drawback is the over the top action at the end with the nuetron bombs and the U.S. submarine and crew; however, it was still an exciting finish.
