7: Dectra Chain

The world blew out in 2001. Vast areas of what was the United States lie beneath an umbrella of noxious dust and radioactive debris, a mantle of destruction drawn over a land of doom. Much of the East Coast has been obliterated; the Southwest is a land of fire; cities of smoldering ash have given birth to horrifically mutated life forms. Such is the Deathlands, legacy of global annihilation.

But there were survivors, struggling to overcome a dark new age of plague, radiation sickness, barbarism and madness. Out of the ruins come Ryan Cawdor and his band of post-holocaust survivors, whose odyssey of discovery takes them in search of other pockets of civilization.

I have now "read" listened to the 1st 79 books. Haven't missed even one and I have bought all of the upcoming books up to 98. The point here is that you will soon discover something for yourself: Richard Rohan and Terence Aselford are radio "gods"! Mr. Rohan not only portrays our main character, Ryan Cawdor but also Jak Lauren but is the best narrator of anything that I have ever heard! Book in and book out he just hits a home run every time. I bow down sir. As for Mr. Aselford? His portrayal of arguably the main center character of the series, J.B. Dix is right on. Yet he then also takes on the voice of the gruff old Doc Tanner. I would love get in and do radio work myself, even at the old fart age of 58! Terrific work gentlemen!

Good mix of old and new. That is what I think would happen in some new england towns. Too bad about the bar tender I liked him at first.
