1: Doomsday Warrior

The year is 2089...

America and much of the world is a post-apocalyptic nightmare...

Ted Rockson and his small band of soldiers fight to rid the land of a Soviet occupational force bent on world domination. But Rockson not only has the enemy to contend with, for out of the ashes of the nuclear devastation of World War III, the Earth has become one large death zone. Mutated animals, destructive storms, and barbaric humans now roam the land. Death seems to be everywhere. Hope seems fleeting. But Rockson will not give up. A loose confederation of secret American Free Cities dots the countryside and awaits its time to rise and challenge the Soviet armies. They shall be led by the Doomsday Warrior.

Not one of my favorite series on GA. But as all are its very well produced and done. I have to admit though that I do have several of this series and do enjoy listening to them but not to the point where I wear them out yet.

I read this one quite a while ago, but I gotta confess it was love at first listen. It's just got a good sound to it, and though it's characters are a bit too predictable, I'm definitely hooked on it simply because it's great to watch big cool weapons and big strong bad ass fighters kick ass to blaring rock music. Definitely worth the read. It's a bit weak as far as plot goes which is why I"m only giving it a four, but it makes up for it with style and purely brilliant production quality. Also, it's got Dave Coin starring as the lead protagonist, so if you enjoyed his work as Jamy Macalister in Eagles, you'll definitely love it.
