The plant disease known as Earthblood has laid waste to the planet, and the crew of the space vessel Aquila reunite after their various journeys to find family and friends. Word of a hidden military base in the north motivates Commander Jim Hilton and his team to follow the trail of a mysterious General Zelig, but they meet up with a savage paramilitary group intent on staking their own claim as lords of this new land.
