Final Crisis

For eons, the New Gods waged a war between good and evil.

Evil has finally won.

Victorious at long last against his enemies on the world of New Genesis, Darkseid has unleashed the forces of Apokolips on Earth. With the secret of the Anti-Life Equation at his command, Darkseid now possesses the ability to eradicate all free will from humanity—and usher in an end to the  age of super heroes.  Facing an ever-growing army of mindless slaves and corrupted heroes, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the remnants of the Justice League of America find themselves consumed by the spreading darkness. They remain humanity’s only hope—the only light that will not be  extinguished in the world’s darkest hour. But at what cost?

Excellent sound effects and music. The majority of the characterizations were very good. Some were a little weak (some of the African American voices were a little stereotypical). A few major issues have been mentioned: you do not need to describe every costume down to the stitching and the word "futuristic" was used a bit too many times (if you are talking about someone from the future, yeah their costume is going to be futuristic). The narration can be a little distracting, and there are a few mispronounced words. Also the sound was an issue a few times, the levels were off and you couldn't hear the narration because the effects are too loud or the music is too much. Overall, not bad. I found myself looking forward to driving to work to listen to the next chapter.

Solid voice acting and all-around great production values. If you read the Grant Morrison mini-series and didn't quite get it, this adaptation of the Greg Cox novel definitely delivers on an emotional level. I could've used a bit less of describing characters costumes every time someone new enters the scene, but otherwise this was a great 1st purchase from Graphic Audio and I'm going to check out their other DC programs.
