Good but feels really long by William (Posted on 10/29/2018)
Enjoyed this for the most part but didn’t like Dr Doom’s voice nor the pace of the story. It does make me want to read the actual comic at least.
Great adaptation of the well-known story by ZJ (Posted on 8/17/2018)
This is one of the most well-known Marvel stories, and one that a lot of people regard as a classic, so adapting it for the audio drama format is a tricky proposition. Come on though, were talking about GA here. They knock it out of the park every time. No exception here.

Alex Irvine has done good work pulling together the necessary parts of the Secret Wars storyline and trimming extraneous material. Not all will agree with me on that, depending on which Marvel characters are your favorites and how much of their particular part got trimmed, but the story is too large to adapt fully. At times the original work was even a bit haphazard due to some of the internal goings on at Marvel during the time the story was being created and told. All things considered, Irvine has done a very good job with the source material.

Part of what makes the Secret Wars story a good one is the opportunity for alliances and machinations of all kinds. Not so ironically, that’s also what makes the original story haphazard in places. In any case, it’s sort of like Survivor with super heroes, except the stakes are the entirety of existence.

It’s beginning to feel redundant writing about how great the casting, acting, sound design, and music always are in GA titles, but it really can’t be said enough. Listening to a GA production is always an enjoyable experience, even if the material being adapted isn’t the best. That stands with this adaptation, and I think it’s work buying even if only because the only other adaptation, which is much more trimmed down than this one, is the three-part story from Spider-Man the Animated Series.
Secret wars by Michael (Posted on 8/15/2018)
This is my first Graphic Audio and It was with this that I was hooked on the all of these stories. This is the first Marvel event comic and with it the heroes and villains are brought together to fight. So I recommend that you pick this up.
This is cool by Noah (Posted on 7/28/2018)
I really love marvel
Very well-produced! by Matthew (Posted on 7/8/2018)
I haven't read the source material, since I'm blind and can't read comics. The sound-design and music are great, and the story, although a little silly as other reviewers have pointed out, is easy to follow. The voice-actors are wonderful! Great Job GA!
It is great and fun by Stephen (Posted on 5/29/2018)
Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (based on the 1984-1985 Marvel Companywide crossover event mini series by the same name which I have read prior) is a lot of good fun with a good story and generally interesting characters, themes, and concepts , thou at least 2 complaints being some of the voice actors for some of the characters where not the best casting choices for characters in my option (i.e. the actors for Hulk, The Thing, Magneto,) and the pacing at times, thou with all that said I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
Loved it! by Louis (Posted on 3/9/2018)
I read this when it came out and it was ok, GA did an excellent job with this and made it even better then the comics it's based on!
Secret Wars by Michael (Posted on 3/8/2018)
This is a broad story and I had trouble following it sometimes. Other than that it was good.
Better than the comic by Ryan (Posted on 1/17/2018)
Now, I love the classic Secret Wars comic. I'm a sucker for nostalgic 80s media especially if it was designed specifically to sell toys. It's a charming story where all of Marvel's most popular characters (and Hawkeye) are thrown together for a fun little free-for-all. It's similar to the sorts of half-baked scenarios I would concoct while playing with my action figures as a kid.

For all of the comic's charm, however, it's not the best. The dialogue's hammy, the story's a bit contrived, and the pacing is almost non-existent. These flaws are easily overlooked, but definitely there. This adaptation manages to outshine all of them, though, and manages to make Secret Wars into the epic adventure it was always meant to be!

Great as always by J.R. (Posted on 12/13/2017)
Great cast and never a dull moment. Really enjoyed this.
Marvel Super Heroes, Secret Wars by Eoin (Posted on 11/5/2017)
This adaptation was an EPIC! If you're a fan of the Marvel movies then this is the purchase for you. There are so many characters in play in this story I was amazed by how effortlessly the actors managed to pull it off. You really feel like you're right there in the center of all the action. I look forward to listening to more.
Love it by Daniel (Posted on 9/25/2017)
Made all the better by ga I don't know how I sesurvived without you
Yes by Deon (Posted on 9/8/2017)
This is one of my all-time favorite stories. Classic characters battling each other and the inclusion of extremely popular ones at the time, made it an instant success. Great job bringing these heroes and villains to life.
Meh. by Casey (Posted on 6/30/2017)
Don't really know why but this one didn't really click for me.
Very Well Done!! by Joshua (Posted on 6/15/2017)
This is a very well done story and I love the acting. Every person in the story fits the character so well!!
Better than expected by Michael (Posted on 5/19/2017)
This was my first go-round with Graphic Audio and I think they did an excellent job. My only complaint is they made Dr Doom sound like a cartoon Dracula.
Marvel comics Secret wars by Michael (Posted on 3/31/2017)
I was blown away by the care and craftsmen ship that went into this piece of work I recommend it to all even those who are not fans of Marvel comics
Secret Wars by WerewolfDad (Posted on 2/9/2017)
Loved this story. I remember when the comics first came out and this was a blast from the past. Good Vs Bad is not that simple when the lines go all over the board. The story felt a little rushed but still was another hit. Hopefully there will be Secret Wars 2 or Secret War Battleworld.
Wish I could give it 3.5 stars by Guy (Posted on 10/19/2016)
I have to start graphic novel GraphicAudio reviews with this: a book brings a story to life with words alone. A graphic novel brings a story to life with art and words. GraphicAudio brings a story to life with words, music, sound effects, and a host of great actors.

I have to admit, I was expecting a kind of Hunger Games scenario, and since I was mistaken, I was disappointed to a degree. Still, the story was pretty interesting with superheroes & supervillains being transported to a strange world with a being telling all, “I am from beyond! Slay your enemies and all you desire shall be yours! Nothing you dream of is impossible for me to accomplish!”

One thing I liked is that the story contains my favorites from the Marvel universe…Captain America, Spider-Man, Thor, the Thing, and Iron Man. The X-Men are also present. In other words, Marvel fans should get this! The voice acting is exceptional in this production!
If you love comics you need this one!! by Max (Posted on 10/9/2016)
I remember the first time I read the comic book! This story change my life! But now after listening to this amazing job by GA.
That's it! I'm sumerge in the audio books forever!! Thanks GA!!
This is a home run !!!
Marvel Secret Wars by joey (Posted on 9/15/2016)
Best Graphic Audio story thus far. I've read the original Secret Wars from the 80s and this version treats all the subplots, characters, and background with care, professionalism, and intrigue, plus it doesn't miss a beat.

It's fun and nonstop action and drama from beginning to end. Captain America, Doctor Doom, Magneto, Mister Fantastic, Professor X and Galactus...all have powerful roles in this uncanny tale to obtain unlimited power in a alien universe.
Best-kept secret! by Rob (Posted on 8/22/2016)
This was, put simply, a blast from the past. It had been a loooong time since I had read Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars and it was a real treat to revisit it as a movie in my mind. An excellent adaptation from Graphic Audio. Great job juggling the enormous cast of characters and all the character arcs and plot developments that take place in this epic saga.
Excellent, as expected by James (Posted on 8/3/2016)
I know at this point, after having listened to dozens of GA productions, I shouldn't be surprised by this but still, I'm amazed at how well the actors' voices mesh with the characters. Without spoiling anything for those who aren't familiar with Secret Wars, Molecule Man was a secondary character in the Marvel Universe at the time this story was published. He just wasn't that well known, as I recall. Here, though, he is front and center. He's kind of wishy-washy at first, just wants to get along. And the actor completely nails the personality, especially as it changes throughout the story's progression. Kudos to the entire cast on this one.
Captivating by Chelsea (Posted on 6/10/2016)
A captivating story and adaptation with lots of plot twists. This was a very enjoyable marvel adaptation!
Fun if not a little silly by Lucas (Posted on 5/22/2016)
The Secret Wars story is a little silly overall but that's really not GA's fault. From what I understand the whole story was written after Marvel Comic did a focus group finding that the words "Secret" and "Wars" tested really well with boys of comic reading age. Nevertheless the presentation is fun and worth the price.
Awesome by James (Posted on 5/3/2016)
Having never read the secret war comics, I had a conversation with my comic book friend and was surprised to know that from his first hand experience with the comics, and my graphic audio book experience, we had nearly the same experience. Absolutlely Fantastic!
Too Quick For Thought by Victor (Posted on 4/26/2016)
I am a huge fan of all that Marvel creates. Yet, this audio book was terrible. The actors were speaking too fast as though they were pressed for time. Story ending was TOO easy to figure out before story ended.
just great! by rafael (Posted on 3/1/2016)
I read the comic, so I was worried that this wasn't going to be as good. I was wrong it not only was good it was better than the comic.
Shhhh! It's a secret by jeremy (Posted on 12/12/2015)
Honestly, I did not love this one. Nuff said
Marvel-ous by JOSEPH (Posted on 12/12/2015)
