Betrayed by Earth's heroes and exiled into outer space, the man-monster Hulk has landed on the distant planet Sakaar, ruled by the tyrannical Red King.

Sold into slavery, Hulk becomes the Green Scar, the planet's mightiest gladiator - but his new masters get more than they bargained for when he forges a bond of brotherhood with his fellow fighters: crafty insectoid Miek, the horrific Brood, wise rock-man Korg, Shadow Warrior Hiroim, noble-born rebel Elloe and her loyal guardsman Skee.

Together, these gladiators start a revolution that could change their entire world - or destroy it.

Planet hulk by Eric (Posted on 11/9/2018)
As one who has listened to this rendition, and then recently watched the animated rendition. I can honestly say that I won't bother ever watching again. But will listen again and again. This is way way better.
Planet Hulk by Amanda (Posted on 8/31/2018)
I didn't realize until the end that this was an adaptation of the novel and not the comic book storyline. While many plot points remain the same, there was something more powerfully heartwrenching about the original ending that I wish they kept. The voice acting and the sound effects were wonderfully immersive, but I often find it a bit weird listening to comic book stories. It's just a bit strange listening to something that is normally so visual in nature. Perhaps I should try following along with a comic while I listen.

Graphic Audio have done another fantastic job of translating the graphic novel into truely a movie in your mind. Just shut your eyes and enjoy the ride. Can't wait for more Hulk. Would recommend it.
Finally, A Hulk Movie We Can All Enjoy by Catdaddy (Posted on 8/25/2018)
So this author is not in inherent fan of Hulk stories. This one, however, is so confident and well-told that it is a wonder it was not written decades ago. So many fans will be familiar with the story, one which does what it says in the title. Greg Pak was savvy enough to allow the Hulk a vocabulary, and that conceit pays great dividends here. It is a sprawling epic, clearly told through strong characters.

The plot features , with plenty of surprises, but very few MCU cameos. (Sorry, no Thor, “Ragnarok” fans.) This version has a different exposition, so is not necessarily related to the “World War Hulk” storyline. You won’t miss it here, though. And note that the story could not take place on earth – the body count is WAY too high.

The adaptation is flawless. If GraphicAudio‘s interpretation of some Marvel characters (e.g., Iron Man) appears to be informed by their portrayals in the MCU, hopefully it can also work in reverse. The GraphicAudio version of Reed Richards, particularly in this story, is sublime and unique - entirely different from other “genius“ Marvel characters such as Hank Pym or Tony Stark. Now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox, it would be a singular joy to introduce Richards into the MCU - and to keep Jeff Allin’s wonderful take on the character.

Highly recommended.
One of my favorite comic book stories adapted to Graphic Audio! by William (Posted on 8/21/2018)
This was my first experience with hearing Graphic Audio adapt a story I was already familiar. And not only was it a great adaptation, but they added some extra details and layers that I didn’t get with the comics which I appreciated. Meek’s voice takes some getting used to, but obviously the voice talent is excellent. I’m sad that the tragic ending was kept in but I guess that would be saved for World War Hulk if you guys do that story which I hope you will. This one’s a slam dunk. Give it a listen!
Excellent adaptation by Lucas (Posted on 8/8/2018)
One of my favorite Graphic Audio titles to date! Great performances all around and the story holds up, too!
I loved it!! by Darrell (Posted on 7/16/2018)
I was so glad this story was adapted to graphic audio. I have the graphic novel and would leaf through it while listening to this for an added layer of immersion. I really hope you follow this up with World War Hulk. Keep these coming!!!
Great audio story from a character with limited dialogue by Tom (Posted on 6/18/2018)
Loved this production. I was wondering how this would develop given the Hulk's dialogue is often limited to "Hulk Smash!" but this was a terrific narrative. I knew the story but the storytelling was compelling and well paced. Was sorry when it ended and looking forward to the next chapter.
Really great by William (Posted on 5/21/2018)
This was a pretty great story with a lot of action and development. Great secondary characters and very imaginative. Of course great quality production as usual. Will probably listen to it again whenever possible.
Planet Hulk by Dave (Posted on 5/13/2018)
Loved this adaptation...one of my favourite Marvel stories.

Hopefully, World War Hulk will one day follow.
I was expecting a little more. by paresh (Posted on 5/2/2018)
Kind of expecting something a little more, found it a little dull at time.
Awesome by Louis (Posted on 3/9/2018)
A great balance between the comic event and the animated movie!
The voice acting was excellent, I like how the same people are always doing the same role!
Hoping for World War Hulk next!!!!!

this story grabs you from the very beginning and you don't want it to let you go. the voice actors on this one did a outstanding job with the Hulk and Meek

Hulk... contemplates the smashing by damien (Posted on 1/30/2018)
Seems counterintuitive to have a Hulk story where the Hulk is so introspective, but it works. Fun story and is an interesting contrast to the animated movie.
planet hulk by ricky (Posted on 1/11/2018)
If you think the movie was good, you ain't seen nothing yet. You need to see the movie so that when you hear this you can picture it in your mind. It's so much more fun that way.
Planet Hulk by Eoin (Posted on 1/9/2018)
This was a superb adaptation and really makes such a comic book-centric story accessible to all new listeners. I highly recommend it to anyone who like Thor Ragnarok or just general sci-fi fans.
Great Adaptation of a Great Story! by Zak (Posted on 11/28/2017)
I can't stop listening to this one, must have been through it over 10 times already!
I loved both the original comic book story and the animated movie from a few years back so I was a bit apprehensive on how GA would handle this.
But as always the voice acting and effects are first class and well choreographed. Pacing is great and the narration is immersive, essential when you're describing alien worlds and species, not to mention the angriest one there is. Again, voice actors were exceptional on this one.
I generally prefer the DC adaptations but I think I'll give some of these Marvel ones a listen after this.
Also hoping for World War Hulk next.. by robert (Posted on 11/23/2017)
Planet Hulk was enjoyable, if you like the Hulk, you will love it, if you like the story of Spartacus, you will love it. The voice acting and sound effects were done very well, the story had some flat points and some not memorable characters, but that seems to come with expanding a comic story into a prose book, into an audio book. Overall it was pretty good. I don't know that I would have enjoyed reading the book alone. I like that they ended it on a good note though, and it's as good as alot of the other GA Marvel books I've listened to.
great story by rafael (Posted on 11/22/2017)
this was truly a great story. I really enjoyed it from start to finish.
Loved It! by Christian (Posted on 11/17/2017)
Really enjoyed this one start to finish. Looking forward to more Hulk stories as he’s always been one of my favorite Marvel characters.
Hoping for World War Hulk Next by Johnathon (Posted on 11/14/2017)
Wow, all I can say. Great listen and felt like I was reading the original comic again. As I state in the title, hope that they do World War Hulk as it would be the perfect story for this type of adaption.
