Stormlight Archive
The Stormlight Archive (CD Series Set)

by Brandon Sanderson
115 Hours
106
Ages 18+
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter.

It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor that transform ordinary men into near-invincible warriors. Wars were fought for them, and won by them. One such war rages on the Shattered Plains. There, Kaladin has been reduced to slavery. In a war that makes no sense, where 10 armies fight separately against a single foe, he struggles to save his men and to fathom the leaders who consider them expendable.

Brightlord Dalinar Kholin commands one of those other armies. Like his brother, the late king, he is fascinated by an ancient text called The Way of Kings. Troubled by visions of ancient times and the Knights Radiant, he has begun to doubt his own sanity.

Across the ocean, an untried young woman named Shallan seeks to train under an eminent scholar and notorious heretic, Dalinar's niece, Jasnah. Though she genuinely loves learning, Shallan's motives are less than pure. As she plans a daring theft, her research for Jasnah hints at secrets of the Knights Radiant and the true cause of the war.

Includes The Stormlight Archive Books 1, 2 & 3 (16 parts) in Audio CD format.

Welcome to the Cosmere by John (Posted on 1/16/2019)
Improve your life and buy this series.

Brandon Sanderson was hugely inspired in 1990 when he picked up book one of the Wheel of Time series. A 14 book series that Sanderson himself was asked to finish when the original author, Robert Jordan sadly died.

Sanderson knew early he wanted a long meta series of his own. He is a unique author and he goes out of his way to stay away from the basic and familiar fantasy story tropes that most authors use professionally. His unique magic systems are designed carefully with specific uses and rules. Each of his stories use magic in different ways and there are always more than one magic.

The Stormlight Archive is his ultimate meta story set on a fantastic worldbuilding masterpiece of a planet that is set in a meta worldbuilding juggernaut of a galaxy full of fantastical planets where the majority of his books take place.

Waste no more thought about finding a better story by your other favorite storyteller. Purchase "The Way of Kings." It's time to visit the planet Roshar, sit back and let this "Movie in your mind" break all your illusions of conventional storytelling.

Amazing! by Bryan (Posted on 8/7/2018)
Love the series. Brandon Sanderson is a master storyteller. I’ve read the series in hardback, and decided to try the Graphic Audio format to go back through them. I’m noticing so many details that I missed the first time through, and the unique GA way of telling stories adds a whole new dimension to the story.

Amazing Set by Aaron (Posted on 5/29/2018)
I didn't buy the CDs but listened to them. If you do a lot of driving or are in a position to go through a lot of audio material then this set is worth it. I might recommend buying them as audio files rather than CDs for the slight cost savings. But if you want simplicity then this will he great. You will be shocked how much you will like this.
I bought these on a lark... by Tina (Posted on 5/3/2018)
... while driving 2,000 miles round trip for Thanksgiving dinner. I didn't know what these Graphic Audio CDs were when I found them at a truck stop, but decided to give them a try after listening to my play list several times over. There are only two times in my life where I bought stories based on the cover art, and both experiences put to shame the saying "never judge a book by its cover". Obviously, this story was one of them.

This book was awesome. I was enraptured right off the bat and now I can't stop listening to them. They've inspired me to buy both the physical and digital versions of the books. The opening sequence with Szeth was breathtaking between the narrator's reading, the music, the voice acting and the sound effects. It was hard to find a character and story that I did not love.

I recommend these to all lovers of epic fantasy.

Epic Fantasy Series by Donald (Posted on 1/21/2018)
Brandon Sanderson is writing this epic fantasy series over the course of the next decade. The Graphic Audio version of Stormlight is great. The site offers free shipping on orders of over $150 so this CD Version can be purchased with a slight discount. Its great to listen to in the car, though you may want to park your car and close your eyes for the battle scenes.

I bought every CD book....one at a time.
I just hope there's more coming.
The Hardash'en saga should be lively.
And there are so many characters to write 5 book CD sets.
This can go on for years.

Great...Great...just great.

Awesome series keeps you wanting more and more!!
Worth it. Totally worth it. by John (Posted on 1/31/2017)
Changing the book so it fits this format creates a slightly different experience. It is now a movie in our minds, your process for this must continue, we must pay and keep you in business, I don't want to lose this format for audiobooks. You have my business. Part 5 is the real payoff in this volume, but without 1-4 it will feel bland and unrelated to the people you hear about. Give it time, it's a long read, but Sanderson trimmed alot from this book and Book 2 is longer, Book 3 longer still. Again it's worth it, buy it in 1 chunk or get 1 as you like. I use the Android app and a nice stereo setup to play my "movie."

Enjoy.
