Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter.

It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor that transform ordinary men into near-invincible warriors. Wars were fought for them, and won by them. One such war rages on the Shattered Plains. There, Kaladin has been reduced to slavery. In a war that makes no sense, where 10 armies fight separately against a single foe, he struggles to save his men and to fathom the leaders who consider them expendable.

Brightlord Dalinar Kholin commands one of those other armies. Like his brother, the late king, he is fascinated by an ancient text called The Way of Kings. Troubled by visions of ancient times and the Knights Radiant, he has begun to doubt his own sanity.

Across the ocean, an untried young woman named Shallan seeks to train under an eminent scholar and notorious heretic, Dalinar's niece, Jasnah. Though she genuinely loves learning, Shallan's motives are less than pure. As she plans a daring theft, her research for Jasnah hints at secrets of the Knights Radiant and the true cause of the war.

Worth Every Penny by Donald (Posted on 1/9/2018)
I got this on sale, but even if I didn't, the price is worth it. I haven't read in a long time but this story has brought be back to the world of fantasy. I listen in the car and I now look forward to spending hours in traffic. The battles are amazing. I park my car and just close my eyes and immerse myself in my own imagery. Your experience is as vibrant as your imagination. Try it.

I've listened to many traditional audio books during my daily commute to work, and Graphic Audio is on par with the very best of them. GA's vivid storytelling combined with a story that has the early makings of an all-time classic, Stormlight Archive is an absolutely amazing audio book experience. Can't wait for Oathbringer and the rest of the series (including Edgedancer, I hope) to be released by GA.
Best Series Ever by William (Posted on 12/26/2017)
This is far and away the best fantasy series I have ever read. Combined with the high production quality of Graphic Audio, it is simply incredible. Worth every penny. Can't wait for part 3

A must listen!! The story, world, and characters are incredibly gripping. From page one it's hard to stop listening. The actors and sound design are amazing and really bring the world of Roshar to life.
Couldn't stop by Pilar (Posted on 7/3/2017)
Somewhere into the story, I had a hard time making myself stop listening. I didn't know that the story would not be finished after the two books adapted by Graphic Audio.
Because I'm really hooked on this now, I have bought the actual books as well as preordered the one to be published in November.
I'm looking forward to GraphicAudio's take on the forthcoming installment. I hope it won't take too long until their audio version is released.
