Ages 18+
A dark and unfathomable power governs post-nuclear America. Its tentacles reach from the heart of the garrison-ruled cities to the lawless Outlands where a last bid for freedom remains. A former warrior of the secretive regime, Kane has become a fugitive of the order he once served, racing to expose the blueprint of a power that''s immeasurable evil.

Kane''s quest allies him with fellow outcasts Brigid Baptiste and Grant, all willing to risk the peril of seeking the truth. In a pre-apocalyptic New York City, hope lies in their ability to reach one young man who can perhaps alter the future. But history, as they''d been taught it, does not exist. And now shadowy figures are aware of their purpose and have targeted them for destruction.

Nothing is as it seems. Not even the invincible past...

Where's the Doctor when you need him? by Peyton (Posted on 10/3/2017)
Oh goody! Let's just blow holes in all the multiverses. It's a great story, but a better example as to why time travel is so dangerous.

I liked this one but not as much, as the one before it. Still a good listen tho.

As a series of interconnected stories each audio book expands on a culture and history of a possible fantastical future. I've bought all that GA has in this series, and have not been disappointed yet.

Can the past between rewritten. Kane , Bridget & Salvo visit the past via Lakesh's use of mat trans knowledge. Can things be changed or is it all already written.
Review by Chris Van Deelen (Posted on 5/23/2013)
Ah yes, the science fiction aspect of the series that has become so intertwined with the mythology. As I've stated before, the early books set the stage for those to come.
