7 Hours
Ages 18+
In the holy city of Othir, treachery and corruption lurk at the end of every street, just the place for a freelance assassin with no loyalties and few scruples.

Caim makes his living on the edge of a blade, but when a routine job goes south, he is thrust into the middle of an insidious plot. Pitted against crooked lawmen, rival killers and sorcery from the Other Side, his only allies are Josephine, the socialite daughter of his last victim and Kit, a guardian spirit no one else can see.

But in this fight for his life, Caim only trusts his knives and his instincts, but they won't be enough when his quest for justice leads him from Othir's hazardous back alleys to its shining corridors of power. To unmask a conspiracy at the heart of the empire, he must claim his birthright as the Shadow's Son...

assassin action by Brandy (Posted on 10/8/2017)
the sound affects are amazing, great acting, intense story line, and lots of action make this a great audio book. Each character has a different actor, and there were parts where I honestly was holding my breath waiting to see what happened. There is violence and no adult content.
Good book by ryan (Posted on 9/11/2016)
I found myself really liking this story. I liked the whole three assassin show down at the end and i like the world that was built. Caim was not my favorite character in the world and Kit seemed to be a bit of a mcguffin but they were passable and made up for in Josephine who i found myself really rooting for. The ending is a little squeal baity but i am interested to see where it is going.

Excitement and danger! by Nathan (Posted on 6/30/2016)
I first found and listened to the second book in this series. I was enthralled and got the others as well. This is a great story and was epic in its own right, but it was even more so considering I knew some of where Caim was headed after this! The battle description is awesome and the narrative is a winding mystery of danger lurking around every corner. The seady underbelly of Othir comes alive through Caim's interaction with it. The danger is palpable, and I felt my palms sweating throughout wondering what would happen next!

This book was tremendously awesome! I only meant to listen to it while I took a 2.5 mile walk, and then found myself listening to it when I was supposed to be doing other things. It went above and beyond my expectation. I recommend a listen and will be getting the sequels no doubt.

If you like dark fantasy fun, in the style of Assassin's Creed and Night Angel, get this book! by Jason (Posted on 5/18/2014)
As stated in my above title, if you enjoy fantasy in the style of Assassin's Creed and Night Angel, get this book! Its got sword and knife fights, a complex plot, a kickass protagonist with a merky past and one hot and sarcastic spirit babe who isn't afraid to tell him what all men fear to hear from their wives and girlfriends, "I told you so!" The cast and crew at GA do a fantastic job I really enjoyed listening to this adventure. I give it 5/5 stars.

A very good story by John (Posted on 10/13/2013)
I was surprised by this. I felt at first that the pacing was a bit off, but I got used to it. The story was very well done, the action was intense and the voice acting was pretty good. Overall, a very good and original story.
Unreal by SHAWN (Posted on 9/18/2013)
This story reminds me a bit of Assassin's Creed. Very well written and as always GA nails it!! The acting and narrating are spot on and truly suck you into this amazing movie inside your mind. The fight scenes and drama are very intense. I literally just texted 3 co-workers about the 2nd book coming to GA. We're all ready. I also highly recommend The Lightbringer Trilogy and my absolute favorite The Demon Cycle
outstanding beyond compare by Stephanie (Posted on 9/11/2013)
It's been a while since I found something this good. The storytelling is phenomenal and the author has put a new twist on the supernatural that makes it hard to stop reading. Definitely recommend this, and impatiently waiting for the second book.
