Once, Frank Morgan had a wife and a future on the land-until a rich man with a grudge drove him out of Colorado. Since then, Morgan's taken up the one skill that always came easy-gunfighting-and drifted to a mining town in the New Mexico Territory.

But there's nothing easy about two vicious gangs descending on the town and threatening to wreak havoc. With his reputation preceding him, Morgan is elected to stand in the outlaws' way.

And with nothing left to lose, he's the last man who will ever back down...

Great Start to a Series by Wade F (Posted on 11/3/2018)
I have read and listened to the Loner Series. I saw the Last Gunfighter series and gave it a shot. Excellent choice on my part. The actors' voices are what I picture in my head. Great book.
Immerses the listener by Vanessa (Posted on 8/8/2018)
The story does a great job of getting the listener interested and invested in the characters, while the action keeps the story moving. Immerses the listener.
Last Gunfighter 1: The Drifter by Charles (Posted on 7/5/2018)
This is an excellent production and the vocals seem to match up with the characters...well played, folks! Solid story, good pace, and enough detail/development to paint the background for the story. I found pleasure in having listened to the origin story for Frank Morgan. Moreover, I want to hear it again and again.

As a truck driver you have a lot of time on your hands. Listening to audiobooks is a great way to pass the time. Graphic Audio does a wonderful job making you feel like you are there in the scene.

My first story and NOT my last! The action, different voices and the story line made me feel like I was at the movies with my eyes closed.
Already looking forward to the next CD...

I was a little nervous as I finished the blood bond series that I would not find another good western book on tape to listen to. Happy to say that the last gun fighter; the drifter exceeded my expectations and I cannot wait to continue listening to the series.

A Good Start... by Carlton (Posted on 5/21/2015)
This is a good start. One question I do have is, does every gunfighter's wife have to die? Does every story have to have a vengeance trail for them to follow? Why couldn't his wife have lived and the story continued on. None the less it turned out alright.
The last gun fighter The drifter by Glenn (Posted on 2/23/2015)
Great book learning the beginning of Frank Morgan wife and son. Part 2 and 3 was a continuation of the story but the plot made a turn to how the son of Frank was develop so my search since the book didn't follow in order. Otherwise I love it

Review by Joe Montreal (Posted on 5/23/2013)
I thought this was a very awesome job! I am not familiar with any of William W. Johnstone's work so this was a shot in the dark - and still hit right on target. Story had some obvious formulaic moments but otherwise was a very fun story, Of course the GA team did a wonderful job. I look forward to #2!
Review by Chris Nardone (Posted on 5/23/2013)
Action packed western with great voice work, especially Frank Morgan's character. I love the humorous bits also, the ones where the outlaws whine and cry that they've been shot in their nether regions...whether that be the front or the rear.

Great story, and got me hooked on Graphic Audio. The female voice acting wasn't that great, but the portrayal of Frank Morgan was excellent!
