In the fall of 1873, a wagon train of immigrants sets off from Kansas City, Missouri, bound for the Montana Territory. Leading the group is newly elected wagonmaster Jamie Ian MacCallister, a giant of a man and frontier legend who swears he can get them there by Christmas--come hell or high snow drifts. . .

Plagued by brutally harsh storms and rugged terrain, outlaws and hostile Indians, the journey will be the greatest challenge these pioneers will ever face. But when things look nearly hopeless, help arrives in the form of two unlikely saviors: an old mountain man known as Preacher and legendary frontiersman Smoke Jensen. Two hard-willed men who believe in the settlers' dreams with all their hearts--and who will get them to their destination by Christmas. Even if it takes a miracle…

Humor for the Holidays by Guy (Posted on 3/26/2017)
Book 3 in the Christmas Series by William W. & J. A. Johnstone has humor and a decent story. Combine that with a little holiday magic and GraphicAudio’s usual outstanding voice acting, sound effects, and music, and you’ve got a pleasant listening experience!

This book was a disappointment. Preacher and Smoke are somehow quite different in this book. Preacher is too different... not just the voice... but all of him. I haven't been very happy with any of these Christmas ones and won't buy anymore. I've listened to every Preacher, Smoke, Matt Jensen and most of the Eagle series. I really enjoy most of them. However, the inconsistencies from book to book are just ridiculous. I read and listen to a variety of authors and no other series has so many mess ups in character history! It's really too bad. I do generally love the performances from the Graphic Audio cast though:) Thank you for hours of entertainment.
