I want a talking dog. I haven't laughed so much in months. What a refreshing spin on things. Hawk and Fisher are my heros their aren't any honest people left anymore and for these characters to stand their ground and display Old School rules makes my day.

Another fantastic installment by Graphic Audio, this one takes us back into the Forest castle with our two favorite guard captains, and is full of plots and interesting characters.

The Walking Man is definitely a very nice wild card, and so is the Shaman- though I think I already know who he is---I won't spoil it for anyone though.

Not sure about the mages yet, but I really like the characterization of the queen- she's definitely not your norm as fantasy figures go.

I mean...a queen who chain-smokes, loves sex...and overall acting more like a retired Hollywood actress than a queen...what's there not to like? lol

It's also kinda nice to see H and F taken down a notch by the beating they received- reminds us they're still human.

Can't wait to read the third volume!

BTW, my fav voice in this book is the Starlight Duke- very well acted...evil and convincing and not too over-the-top.

Least favorite is still Chance the champion's son- though I can't really say why...maybe just because he's not all that interesting as a character.
