Once In A Blue Moon (1 of 2)

Ages 13+
Twice upon a time, Prince Rupert and Princess Julia saved the Forest Kingdom.
They have earned the right to live happily ever after.
But there’s a blue moon on the rise....

Hawk and Fisher, famous for their years of keeping the peace in Haven, are really quite happy being legends. They gave up the hero business when they decided they’d grown too old for it. Now they run the Hero Academy, training young hopefuls to be heroes.

Legends never die, but it seems they cannot retire, either. Hawk and Fisher’s adult children, Jack and Gillian, have been kidnapped. They were taken by the Demon Prince, an old enemy from the Forest Kingdom who challenges the couple to one final battle for their lives. But Hawk and Fisher believe there’s another motive behind the abductions, one connected to a case they worked in Haven many years ago—a case they refuse to discuss.

They have no choice but to return to the Forest Kingdom, to be Prince Rupert and Princess Julia one last time in one last story—of the kind of things that happen only once in a blue moon....

When I first picked up this series I though, 'oh great...just another fantasy story', but ever since the first installment I've been hooked. 'Damn minstrels', is right and in the world of 'real heros' the true tales are always elaborated; but in this series the truth comes out and the horrors will keep you up at night.
Another thing I love about this series, (and I'm glad it continues with this new installment) is the laughs are true to the character and the settings.
Let the good times ROLL! by Jared (Posted on 9/25/2014)
Hawk and Fisher are back as, once again, Simon R Green and Graphic Audio make a beautiful audio baby. The only trouble I have with this entry is atypical of any of Simon R Green's works: his tendency to have Hawk and Fisher discuss their confidential secrets....right in front of people. Otherwise I enjoyed this, probably final adventure for the two and company to prevent a war from tearing apart their kingdoms.

Fantastic!!! I have all the series. I didn't think they could have made such a good story form the other blue moon series. But they did, if you liked the blue moon stories you will love this one!!!
