Heroes Road
Volume One (1 of 3)

by Chuck Rogers
6 Hours
Ages 18+
Coel ap Math and Snorri Yaroslav serve on the Frontier with Debts of Commission they can never hope to pay. When an enemy no one believes exists wipes out their detachment, the two warriors find themselves disgraced, destitute, and dishonorably discharged. They are soldiers without a cause, and must pay off their commissions or face a lifetime of indentured servitude or a rope.

When an Eastern sorcerer makes them an offer they cannot afford to refuse, they join a disparate band of associates. Each has their own tale of woe. Each has their own reasons for serving the sorcerer. The sorcerer has powerful enemies, and what started as a simple job as hired swords becomes an epic quest that takes them across the known world, and one that will determine the world's fate.

With enemies ringing the horizon behind and unimaginable peril ahead, their only refuge is honor, and the only path left to take is the HEROES ROAD.

A Great Novel by J. "Griff" (Posted on 12/3/2018)
Looking for the next Movie in my Mind I stumbled onto "Heroes Road" as an impulsed bought all 3 parts in one purchase. I absolutely love the alternate history of Medieval Europe. Bradley Smith amazes me with his narration & voice of Snorri. Completely worth it listening.

This is Good! by William (Posted on 10/13/2018)
I'm big into fantasy. Saw this and thought it'd be a good typical fantasy story to try... not higher level like Brandon Sanderson - who is amazing. It's exactly what i expected and wanted! I didn't want epic but I didn't want stupid. Other than the initial fight scene which was about 20 minutes long and I found my mind wandering... can't listen to back and forth fighting that long, GA! Other than that I have been hooked. Characters are interesting, tho I doubt Cole would have been chasing every girl that looked at him like he has, not when he is supposed to be so taken with the main one. Actor who reads Snori sounds like Hagrid from Harry Potter!
Long Live Snorri! by Chris (Posted on 9/17/2018)
So you have a wealthy and mysterious mage, this one guy who's clearly on the classic fallen hero's trip, a girl who was raised from childhood to be a bodyguard. Yadda. Yadda. Yadda.

Then you have Snorri Yaroslav! The best friend anyone could hope for! The man with the axe! The man with style! The man with style to put the axe through someone with a smile! It's Snorri! Bradley Smith interjects an addictive voice to this character that makes buying the follow ups worth buying to me.
Good story. by tyler (Posted on 9/14/2018)
Very good. I like that it takes place in Europe even with the magic involved. Makes the church more creepy. Good actors.

Great book to listen to when driving in the car. Nice story and fun to listen to. Can't wait to see what happens in the next part.
Introduced me to a genre I didn't know I liked. by Perry (Posted on 8/6/2018)
I would of never heard or seen of this book if I wasn't browsing for a different title. However I stumbled across this pre order and read the synopsis, I was interested but not hooked. I listened to the small snippet and was hooked, if the narration was true to the writing then this book is amazing, I've only listened to the first chapter/hour section but I am in love with the actors/characters and setting. I was uneasy on entering "our world" but it only adds to the flavour, the myth and magic that springs from real world myth is amazing and truly intriguing. I plan to listen to this book after I finish my current one, but I am eagerly awaiting the next two parts and this book.

A lot of the time in books they'll have a character not do something based on honour and that has always annoyed me, but this explains that feeling and why characters react that way as oppose to just shame and honour, it delves into depths of character i've never seen before and it excites me, the description and brutality of it all is gripping.

I love this production, please purchase it.

Another fantastic job by GraphicAudio by Albert (Posted on 7/28/2018)
Thank you very much for introductioing me to this world. I would never have guessed that I am actually into this kind of fantasy set in alternate Medival Ages with a very unusual location - Kievan Rus. Both the actors and the crew behind the audio effects made a remarkable work with this adaptation.
