For Durzo Blint, assassination is an art-and he is the city''s most accomplished artist.

For Azoth, survival is precarious. Something you never take for granted. As a guild rat, he''s grown up in the slums and learned to judge people quickly-and to take risks. Risks like apprenticing himself to Durzo Blint.

But to be accepted, Azoth must turn his back on his old life and embrace a new identity and name. As Kylar Stern, he must learn to navigate the assassins'' world of dangerous politics and strange magics-and cultivate a flair for death. (Part 1 of 2)

Hooked on GraphicAudio by Denise (Posted on 2/9/2019)
This series was the first I ever heard of GraphicAudio and it got me hooked. I plowed through this series. It is interesting and keeps you wanting to listen. I just saw there's anither one on Durzo and I must hear it. Fantastic story.

A little slow to start things off, but GA has done an excellent job as always with this book. Can't wait to listen to the other part of this.
Easily 4 of 5 by Ishmael (Posted on 9/15/2017)
The book was pretty good. The politics were engaging, the characters intriguing, and Azoth's and Durzo's relationship was brutal but satisfying to watch.
One of the most entertaining books by Nick (Posted on 8/11/2016)
This series was my first GA books. I had already read them myself but GA takes it to a whole new level

Awesome, just awesome.
Better live then read by Micheal (Posted on 2/29/2016)
I've read these books before and having them produced in this fashion is even more immersive. Need to get the 3rd book now and I'll have them all!
Wow by David (Posted on 2/4/2016)
I've been an avid audio book fan, but this is something different. I'm now a GA fan, and plan on buying the remainder of the series.

The Way Of Shadows by Linda (Posted on 6/26/2015)
Another fantastic story. I first purchased The Lightbringer Saga, but being a truck driver was frustrated at having to stop and hunt for the next book, now I either make sure they're all there or download them online. I will always be glad to purchase books by Brent Weeks. Thank you for the excellant performances.

I seriously finished this in about 3 days. I couldn't stop listening to it!! This was very well done
Tried GA, never looked back. by David (Posted on 6/1/2015)
The set that turned me on to Graphic Audio. Large cast, well placed mood music, and hundreds of unique sounds make it nigh impossible to not become immersed in Graphic Audio presentations.
Insane production value! by Donald (Posted on 3/19/2015)
I read this series in paperback, but hearing the Graphic Audio version is amazing! They really go above and beyond to bring these novels to life.
The Way of Shadows 1 by John (Posted on 3/8/2015)
Between Brent Weeks and Brandon Sanderson, my mind's eye is sensationalized. I am enthralled to reach out for each upcoming release.

Johann Dettweiler seems to be the mastermind for this genre types. Thank you Johann.

The voice actors bring such variety and their accents sweeten the story. The music scores added notably behind the dialog evoke emotion, the sound effects amaze the mind.

All this added and mixed properly transforms a latent paged novel into "The Movie in my Mind."

Thank you Graphic Audio.
awesome! by Lionel (Posted on 2/23/2015)
I was a little put off at first how in your face the background music was, and had a hard time following. But I did and the music settled down, and wow, what a great story, and performance. As always the voice acting is top notch. Now to listen to part 2 which I quickly purchased!
Brilliant by Travis (Posted on 12/10/2014)
The production value is through the roof. Bloody brilliant. I really enjoy Dylan Lynch as the narrator. He's got a great voice for the story. And the voice actors are great as well, they bring feeling and strength to their characters.
Favorite Series of All Time by Savannah (Posted on 11/23/2014)
This audio company sends my favorite books of all time over the top and makes the books stick with you forever. It's been four years and I'm still obsessing over the book and this audio book. I recommend this to anyone wanting a rememberable story.

It was a good story, but it wasn't well written in some parts, but everything is still good.
Night angel by Tristan (Posted on 12/25/2013)
One of the best Fantasy titles GA has. If you like fantasy you will not be disappointed. You can tell Brent Weeks was inspired by Naruto
Deliciously Entertaining! by Rayvin (Posted on 11/3/2013)
A great and entertaining story with great depth to the characters. The sounds and feels of everything are fantastic! Voice acting was well chosen and very fun!
I really wanted to love this, and almost did... by Brandon (Posted on 10/16/2013)
First off, I don't regret the purchase one bit. Great voice-acting, although the juvenile voices of the guild rats was a little "off". The story is gripping with several moments of "Oh man! I didn't see THAT coming!"
I really wanted to love it, and I ended up really LIKING it. But I had just finished Warbreaker before listening to this and while this is a great product, it just paled next to Warbreaker.
There were moments in the middle of The Way of Shadows when I felt lost, like I had missed something. I even went back and had to relisten to a few passages. Ultimately, I think it is because the story jumps around spatially and temporally quite a bit, especially in the beginning. Once all the pieces are set, though, the finish is spectacular!
The Way of Shadows by Kyle (Posted on 8/23/2013)
Excellent fantasy book. I have read a lot and this is probably one of the best ones in many ways. Not exactly hopeful and cheery if that's what you're looking for. This is more of the gritty yet more real side of life that Fantasy generally wants to stay away from.
Review by Huffman Classen (Posted on 5/23/2013)
All that I can say is "Oh My God!!!!"

This story is absolute gold. You are dropped into the middle of a world of intrigue and conspiracy and are told just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat through the entire production.

Characters - 5 of 5. They might only be 'Voice-Actors', but these people need stars in Hollywood!

(Btw, love the whole 'Doc' from Deathlands being Lord General Agon :P He really pulls the character well!)

Long Comment Short - Just get it. You won't be disappointed. Brent Weeks is a great storywriter, and this is an EXCELLENT production.
