It Kills...
On a hot summer night in Montauk, the bodies of two local bar patrons are discovered in the dunes, torn to shreds, their identities unrecognizable. . .

It Breeds...
In another part of town, a woman's backyard is invaded by four terrifying creatures that defy any kind of description. What's clear is that they're hostile--and they're ravenous. . .

It Spreads...
With every sunset the terror rises again, infecting residents with a virus no one can cure. The CDC can't help them; FEMA can't save them. But each savage attack brings Suffolk County Police Officer Gray Dalton one step closer to the shocking source of these unholy creations. Hidden on nearby Plum Island, a U.S. research facility has been running top-secret experiments. What they created was never meant to see the light of day. Now, a vacation paradise is going straight to hell.

Author Hunter Shea says "Listening to the audio production gave me goose bumps! This isn't your every day audio book - it's a fully acted play, just like the old time radio dramas. Simply amazing."

Reviews

Tragic, Terrifying, Terrific -- by Dee Emm (Posted on 2/18/2017)
From Jen Jackson's relentless-yet-restrained narration, to the cruel twists and turns of fate for a lively and colorful cast of characters, MONTAUK MONSTER kept me on the edge of my seat until the very last moment of the story ... and I ended up wanting more. I loved the world this story created -- especially since it hews dangerously close to reality. I lived right near where this story takes place for my early childhood, and so it felt right at home and yet alien and scary at the same time. Credit great writing, solid voice-work and thrilling use of special effects and ambience. My highest recommendation. Just don't expect to get a lot of sleep after the Movie In Your Mind does its curtain call on THE MONTAUK MONSTER.

P.S.
Would love to see the story continue!
Frickin awesome story! by Hunter (Posted on 2/17/2017)
I purchased this story a year and a half ago, and have listened to it twice. This should be a movie! Keep up the good work, I wish there was a sequel!
Horror at it's finest by John (Posted on 2/2/2017)
I have heard other GA titles and was a bit skeptical for this since i haven't heard of the author's name (Hunter Shea) and horror is very tough to manage after getting hugely disappointed by Ghost finders( only storywise not audio presentation) i took this up and hooked instantly . this is chilling and very good.
Ken jackson the narrator has a good voice it's just i think he needs to slow down while saying prefer Richard Rohan but still awesome anyway.
Great! by Andrea (Posted on 1/10/2017)
The Montauk Monster was really entertaining. I just wish it had been longer. I love monster stories and hope that we get more of these in the future.

Thrills await you! by Brian (Posted on 10/2/2016)
"The Montauk Monster" was, from start to finish, a fast-paced and exceptionally well-crafted scream fest. I loved every last gore-drenched minute of it!

The action begins early on and rarely lets up. In the hands of a lesser author, this could have been sloppy but Hunter Shea clearly knows how to keep the plot moving and adds just enough character development to keep us compelled.

GraphicAudio's sterling adaptation is guaranteed to keep you riveted to your chair. I listened to it all in one sitting, it was just that good. Definitely worth a purchase.
Horror @ 60 miles an hour. by Cruz (Posted on 9/4/2016)
The Montauk Monster is a fabulous book and translates to audio even better. Graphic audio makes it spectacular. You're driving home at night listening to the escalating horror and checking your backseat after every chapter. As a previous reviewer said MORE STANDALONE stories.
The Montauk Monster by rashad (Posted on 7/13/2016)
A great listen. The story, and character development keep me hooked from start to finish. through detailed character description I was able to close my eyes, and see the story unfold...loved the build up of the monster. even though I felt some of the characters should've survived I know sacrifices had to be made for the integrity of the story...lol
Lots of good. by Eric (Posted on 2/24/2016)
A story that has been told many many times. So... I was annoyed by that. But the cast was perfect, and the sound was so well done! I was drawn into this story. Did enjoy it all the way through, but... I still felt like I had heard or seen this movie a hundred times before.

You guys should do more books like this. It kicked ass! I read it from start to finish. I would like to see stephen king books as well. thank you graphic audio! More horror please please please!
Horrific! by Chris (Posted on 9/17/2015)
GA should do more horror titles, that's what I say. This one had loads of suspense, gut-wrenching terror and towards the end, lots of good action. Voice-work and sound effects were top notch!
The Montauk Monster by Mitch (Posted on 8/30/2015)
Incredible story, acting, and effects. I was hooked into the story line from the beginning. The last hour literally had me on the edge of my sheet. I will definitely check out similar titles in the future.
Very, VERY terrifying!! by James (Posted on 8/18/2015)
This book is 100% NOT FOR CHILDREN!!!

I'm a former US Army Airborne Ranger Sniper Vietnam vet and 25 year veteran Detective of the San Diego police department and this book SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME!! No kidding! It was just brutal. The many scenes of policemen being ripped to shreds was very painful to me and I had to flat out turn this book off at times to relax a bit.

This book was very intelligently written and very VERY well made by the Graphic Audio gang as always. Maybe even more so this time. They've made it all so very believable. If you love your horror then get this but never, EVER listen to this with the lights off and you're alone at home, or when you're out driving late at night, when you're all alone, on deserted stretches of highway........
Takes you back to being a kid by james (Posted on 8/13/2015)
Granted a bit more graphic, but this was great. A total monster movie. The cast really makes you care about the characters. Ken Jackson may be the most under rated bit of talent ever. Great pacing, great story. Actually burnt through this in one day. The story and production in this should make this an all time classic.
Awesome!!! by Tyler (Posted on 8/8/2015)

Could Not Stop Listening by Kelly (Posted on 7/19/2015)
I bought this book on the day it came out from GA, and I'm glad I did.
From the moment I started listening to it, I couldn't stop; I just had to find out what was going to happen next.
Everything about this production is superb, especially the sound design (those creatures are scary!)
If you're into horror, give this one a try. I hope GA will produce more titles like this.
HORROR the Way It Should Be! by Barney (Posted on 7/14/2015)
The Montauk Monster would have been a good horror read in print and in standard audiobook format, but GraphicAudio really brought it to life. The talented cast portraying the authentic emotions of the characters, not to mention their blood curtling cries of terror and agony. The music... The sound effects... Of course, if you're familiar with GA's productions, none of this will be a surprise to you. But for those of us who are fans of the HORROR genre, this production will come as an oasis in the desert...and hopefully not the last.

After watching Jurassic World...I found myself wondering what GA might accomplish if they turned their attention to Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park and The Lost World, and even Sphere. After listening to The Montauk Monster, I now have a good idea...

Something tells me this is just the beginning. Now that GA has cracked the doors on HORROR, they could easily start producing a new title every month...and just maybe my wish will come true to someday get to enjoy the novelizations of Doom by John Shirley and Alien and Aliens by Alan Dean Foster in the Movie Theater in My Mind!

Thanks to GA and the cast and crew for all your continuous hard work!
