by Charles G. West
Aug 1, 2012
5 Hours
Ages 13+
Almost ten years ago, eighteen-year-old Colt McCrae was sent to jail for a crime he didn't commit. When his estranged father is murdered, he is released, and returns to Whiskey Hill, Wyoming.

He's not welcome by everyone. Colt means trouble--because he knows who killed his father. Ruthless range baron Frank Drummond wants the land and will bury anyone who dares oppose him.

But Colt is no longer a kid with a chip on his shoulder. He's a prison-hardened man with a mind for justice?

Fast Paced by James (Posted on 3/8/2015)
The story starts out fast and continues through the end. The story is engaging and you’ll want to know what happens next. One big shock was the shooting of the boy and the bad buy leaving witnesses. Another was how accurate Colt was in his shooting after 10 years in prison, but most of his shooting was point blank range at center mass. Other than these and easily over looked, I think this is a great story.

Also I don't think there was excessive use of bad language, it fit in appropriately.
My Favorite Charles West by Wayne (Posted on 10/5/2013)
This is my favorite so far. I've listened to all but three and I love this story. I love the story line and everything else. It truly a good story. Must agree I would like to hear less cussing. Is it really necessary for the story? I deal with it but can't let some of my friends hear it cause they'll draw back over the cussing.

GA did a Great Job in presenting this range war. My only complaint was the language. The was a lot of SOB's, DG's, etc. The bad language did nothing to add to the story, it only weakened it - thus the reason for the 4 headphones instead of the usual 5.
Review by Gildardo Ibarra (Posted on 5/23/2013)
One of the best plots I've heard. Chris did a splendid job in the main role. Wonderful example of what the west was like. From railroading an innocent boy in the usual town over kill. With finger pointing that would land him in the pen for ten years for something he did not remotely do. To the return of the same boy now a man to exact justice. Loved the way it developed. Plenty of secrets , intrigue, and even poetic justice.
