Jeston Nash
1 : While Angels Dance

by Ralph Cotton
Aug 1, 2013
7 Hours
Ages 18+
Jeston Nash bears a striking resemblance to his cousin Jesse Woodson James of Clay County Missouri. After killing a Yankee soldier in self-defense, Jeston meets his cousins, Jesse and Frank, and joins them to fight in Quantrill's guerilla forces.

Later, after the war, he rides with the James-Younger gang as they invent their special brand of bank and train robbery. All the while, Jeston seeks vengeance against Daniel Zanone of the Free Kansas Militia - the man responsible for the death of his child.

This book was a candidate for the Putlitzer Prize in fiction.

Real nice turn on the hole James gang story and some of the myths around Jessie's death. A great listen!
Inside an Outlaw's life. by Clinton (Posted on 3/21/2014)
What a great story and characters. I can't recommend this enough, everything about this one is awesome!!! I loved every second of it.
Different by Wayne (Posted on 11/6/2013)
Its different to hear it from the outlaws perspective. Other than the violence to little china I really like the story. I know that it had to happen for the other to come about but it was still hard.

Excellent! by victoria (Posted on 8/27/2013)
This is shaping up to be a great series. I left out a star because I think other books in the series might be even better. I never knew much about Jesse James, this story wanted me to know more. It is a fine line to have characters you care about be murdering thieves, but they manage it beautifully.
