Matt Jensen The Last Mountain Man 1 by Charles (Posted on 5/14/2018)
Solid performances, narration, production and acting in the additional westerns classics. Solid pacing and enough twists and swerves to keep you invested in the story. Recommend highly!

I have listened to Smoke Jensen and Family Jensen and like them, I listened to the free hour that they gave out and I bought the story to Be cause I like to. I must say I was terribly disappointed with the ending, I will try some more to see if it gets better.

This was my first Johnstone story. I must say I was terribly disappointed. I listened to the free hour that they gave out and I bought the story to just finish it. My first problem was that they used a black actor to do a white man's voice. It throws you way off. Especially when you've heard other stories and the same actor is a black man in the story. It seemed that the main character was very weak. If this is the usual for Johnstone stories I'll keep buying the other authors and leave him alone.

This Johnstone series is more modern than the others and makes a reflection of the changing times. I have read/heard all of these. This is one of the BEST recordings of GA. Dylan Lynch is the narrator and tells the story in a way that "feels" western. He reminds me of the old Jimmy Stewart radio show. Good writing and good acting! AND GOOD STARTING MATERIAL with the Johnstone work.
