The adopted son of mountain man Smoke Jensen, he has carved out his destiny in the rugged American frontier. His name is Matt Jensen. He lives by the gun -- and surrenders to no one...

Twelve years ago, newspaperman John Bryce saved an innocent man from the hangman's noose. That man was Matt Jensen. In gratitude, Matt gave Bryce four gold nuggets and told him, "If there's ever anything I can do, just let me know." Now, that day has come. As editor of the Fullerton Defender, Bryce has become the target of a powerful -- and ruthless -- English lord. A feared master duelist, his aim is fixed on the Dakota Territories. A typical Jenson book, with good action, a bit of romance on the side that doesn't lead anywhere, and a predictable plot. Matt got called on by a friend to go solve a problem, there's a villain who seems all powerful, and a few fast gunslingers got canned cause the author has to have a way to show us how much faster Matt is...so on and so on.

The acting is real good, so's the music/sounds selection.

My only complaint is actually with whoever played the newspaper guy's wife...some of her lines just wasn't delivered that convincingly- though that might have more to do with the way they're written than any acting issue.

Best moment I think is when the farmers and ranchers received news about "all your houses are burned..." there's a slight pause, and then a very convincing uproar- that's a great arrangement right there.
