Wolf's Hour
3 : The Wolf's Hour (3 of 3)

by Robert McCammon
Oct 1, 2012
6 Hours
Ages 18+
It is 1944. A message from Paris warns Allied Intelligence of something big in the works---something which might have serious implications for D-Day. The only way to get more information from the agent in Paris---now closely watched by the Gestapo---is to send in a personal courier.

Russian émigré Michael Gallatin is picked for the job. In retirement as a secret agent since a grisly episode in North Africa, Gallatin is parachuted into occupied France, on a mission which will take him to the festering heart of the Third Reich on the scent of doomsday.

As a master spy, Gallatin has proved he can take on formidable foes---and kill them. As a passionate lover, he attracts beautiful women. But there is one extra factor which makes Michael Gallatin a unique special agent---he is a werewolf, able to change form almost at will, able to assume the body of a wolf and its capacity to kill with savage, snarling fury.

In the madness of war, Gallatin hunts his prey---ready to out-think his opponents with his finely-tuned brain. Or tear their throats out with his finely-honed teeth....

Loved the ending.

Well written, and well acted. Exciting, and a great mix of history and the supernatural.

While it deserves a Mature rating, I was not disappointed.

As We Finish It by William (Posted on 4/20/2015)
It was remiss of me to not include Richard Rohan in my review of the first two parts of this story.
He is without a doubt one of their top narrators, especially for these types of stories. He sets the moods for the scenes perfectly and does a great job of keeping you in the story.
Now, with this being said, I was just slightly disappointed with the ending. We just spent two parts of the story setting everything up and it seems we crammed in the ending just a bit to bring it to a close.
Don't let this discourage you though, it is still a five star rating and in my opinion, GA's best overall story.
Great finish by Chris (Posted on 2/25/2015)
An exciting conclusion to the story. More action and suspense than horror in this installment, but it tied everything up in a satisfactory manner.
McCammon is great as always! by James (Posted on 2/15/2014)
Wolf's Hour was terrific. But let me tell you...I have read all of Robert McCammon's books and Wolf's Hour is only in the middle as to his best work. I pray the GraphicAudio will pick up all of his other titles. His two greatest works: Stinger and Swan Song. Those two would take at least 5 audiobook to fill GraphicAudio style. Please do those two!! Also great was They Thirst and Boy's Life. Please!!!!
I wanted a beter ending by Todd (Posted on 10/18/2013)
You need to listen to the entire set of books to get the whole story. I thought it was entertaining. However I wish there would have been more in the story on his evolution in becoming a wolf. I wish it had a better ending.

Just finished Part 3 of The Wolf's Hour last night and was sorry to have it end. Everything about this Graphic Audio was perfect from the Narrator, who was superb, to the actors and the sound effects. I highly recommend this fantastic set of The Wolf's Hour!
Review by Johnny Tai (Posted on 5/23/2013)
Good story combined with perfect naration and acting- backed up with moving music tracks and realistic sounds- this is a perfect production that will keep your attention all the way through.

If I must name one down side, it would be the predictable plot- but even that has its own charm.

The conclusion of another great story, as rendered by Graphic Audio. These guys knock it out of the ballpark every time! I was sad to have this one end. If you don't own this yet, you're missing out. Buy it!
