Stand-Alone Title
The Searchers

by Alan Le May
Jan 1, 2014
7 Hours
Ages 13+
A timeless work of vivid, raw western fiction and a no-holds-barred portrait of the real American frontier which served as the basis for the classic John Wayne film.

From the moment they left their homestead unguarded on that scorching Texas day, Martin Pauley and Amos Edwards became searchers. First they had to return to the decimated ranch, bury the bodies of their family, and confront the evil cunning of the Comanche who had slaughtered them. Then they set out in pursuit of missing Debbie Edwards. In the years that follow, Amos and Martin survive storms of nature and of men, seeking more than a missing girl, and more than revenge. Both are driven by secrets, guilt, love, and rage. Defying the dangers all around them, two men become a frontier legend, searching for the one moment, and the one last battle, that will finally set them free...

started out good but the pacing slowed down in the middle of the story which lost my interest for a bit but kicks back up at the end. A decent story for me.
Terrific! by James (Posted on 8/25/2014)
This was the 1st Graphic Audio western title that I purchased and have listened to. I can only describe it in one word: Terrific! Previously I had only purchased every single Deathlands, Destroyer, DC, Marvel, McCammon, Nekropolis and Clockwork Century so I was a bit unprepared for the Searchers bug I had decided to give if a try as my 1st western title since I loved the John Wayne/John Ford film so very much.

This book has now become my second favorite, after the Deathlands series. The Searchers was just so very real in its narration. I felt that I was actually there. I have often dreamed of living in the old west and felt that I was born 100 years late. But after listening to the Searchers I now feel that the everyday perils of Western life just might have been too much!

I now have purchased the 1st 6 Eagles, all of the Blood Born, all of the Last Gunfighter and all of the western short story compilations.

Keep these great books coming!

Searchers by Mark (Posted on 2/4/2014)
My Son and I listened to this story together. We enjoyed it very much. This story is very gripping and keeps you listening. We sat in our driveway for an hour because we didn't want it to end. Very well made and we really appreciate all the effort GraphicAudio puts into these productions. We have tried listening to other audio books and quickly lose interest. But not with GraphicAudio. Thank you for going that extra mile to make these so entertaining.

Good Drawn out Western by Wayne (Posted on 2/3/2014)
I liked this story for the most part. It did seem to get drawn out though. I liked the ending it just takes a long while to get there.
