Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older--a wish she believed was granted. Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can't help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers. The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this awesome responsibility.

Fun story in between a bigger world. by brandon (Posted on 2/6/2019)
As many have mentioned this is practically Stormlight Archive book 2.5. Taking place between Words of Radiance and Oathbringer.

The main character is more fleshed out here, we get to see more of Lift and what motivates her. As well as her growth as a character.

As always the voice acting is amazing. I was very happy this story made it to Graphic Audio. Now all the The Stormlight Archive is available. And practically all of the Cosmere.
Splendid by Travis (Posted on 1/26/2019)
Kimberly Gilbert is perfect as Lift. And loved having Terence Aselford narrating. Graphic Audio always does a splendid job of adapting Sanderson's books, and this novella is no different. A must listen, especially if you're listening to the Stormlight Archives books, this one taking place between Words of Radiance and Oathbringer.
Lift gets a chance to shine by Andrew (Posted on 12/31/2018)
Sanderson populates his novels with a cast of interesting and memorable characters. Lift is one such. Claiming to be "bored" as an honored guest in the imperial palace of Azir, a child with the budding powers of a Knight Radiant takes on a personal mission that is way too big for her.

This novella sits between Words of Radiance (Stormlight 2) and Oathbringer (Stormlight 3), and directly references the events of the former. It shows the reason for the shift in Nale/Nalan/Nin's mission, and shows us the deepest slice of life we've seen of Western Roshar to date.

Gilbert is excellent as Lift; McCormick oozes menace as Nin. Smith's returns as the soft-spoken assassin Szeth. The only complaint I have is Jackson's Arclo is portrayed with a thick accent that makes some of his dialogue difficult to understand.
A fantastic bridge between books by Amy (Posted on 12/30/2018)
I'm so glad y'all produced this novella. Hearing the GA crew voice this story was a truly sumptuous feast for the ears. I loved hearing Lift's story and seeing her gradual growth. And her relationship with Wyndle was hilarious.

Of course the cast was phenomenal. It's Graphic Audio, what did you expect? Everyone was perfection, especially Kimberly Gilbert as Lift. She and Bradley Smith were wonderful together, and it's always fantastic hearing Scott McCormick in a production.

Now onto Oathbringer!
Lift and Wyndle by Taras (Posted on 12/30/2018)
I love this narration, especially enjoyed conversations between Lift and "voidbringer" Wyndle. Their back and forth conversations made me smile often, really great work!
Vin and Elend return for this Novella...in a way. by John (Posted on 12/20/2018)
The voice talents of Kimberly Gilbert voiced the heroine of Vin in the original Mistborn trilogy. She returns to voice Lift, an Edgedancer of the Knights Radiant.

The voice of Bradley Smith once voiced Elend Venture, also from Mistborn and Wayne from the Wax and Wayne Mistborn 2 series. He returns to voice Wyndle, a Cultivation spren bonded to Lift and Szeth-son-son-Vallano, formerly, the Assassin in White.

An assassin who notably killed only kings and nobility all across the super continent of Roshar. This novella falls between Stormlight Archive Book 2 (Words of Radiance) and 3 (Oathbringer.)

At 4 hours in length, it is a considerable purchase compared to a normal full length 6 hour production. Buy it!

We also get the treat of hearing the original Mistborn narrator return to narrate this story as well. It's a real treat to hear these 3 voices return again to the Cosmere. Enjoy.
