Demon Cycle
3 : The Daylight War (2 of 2)

by Peter V. Brett
Feb 1, 2014
7 Hours
Ages 18+
On the night of the new moon, the demons rise in force, seeking the deaths of two men both of whom have the potential to become the fabled Deliverer, the man prophesied to reunite the scattered remnants of humanity in a final push to destroy the demon corelings once and for all.

Arlen Bales was once an ordinary man, but now he has become something more—the Warded Man, tattooed with eldritch wards so powerful they make him a match for any demon. Arlen denies he is the Deliverer at every turn, but the more he tries to be one with the common folk, the more fervently they believe. Many would follow him, but Arlen’s path threatens to lead him to a dark place he alone can travel to, and from which there may be no returning.

The only one with hope of keeping Arlen in the world of men, or joining him in his descent into the world of demons, is Renna Tanner, a fierce young woman in danger of losing herself to the power of demon magic.

Ahmann Jardir has forged the warlike desert tribes of Krasia into a demon-killing army and proclaimed himself Shar’Dama Ka, the Deliverer. He carries ancient weapons—a spear and a crown—that give credence to his claim, and already vast swaths of the green lands bow to his control.

But Jardir did not come to power on his own. His rise was engineered by his First Wife, Inevera, a cunning and powerful priestess whose formidable demon bone magic gives her the ability to glimpse the future. Inevera’s motives and past are shrouded in mystery, and even Jardir does not entirely trust her.

Once Arlen and Jardir were as close as brothers. Now they are the bitterest of rivals. As humanity’s enemies rise, the only two men capable of defeating them are divided against each other by the most deadly demons of all—those lurking in the human heart.

still great! by Koan (Posted on 2/10/2018)
This whole series is awesome, and Graphic Audio does a great job with telling the story.
Daylight War 2 by John (Posted on 12/29/2017)
The Demon Princes are coming. We now see from the Demon high court and their portrayal of just what mankind is to them. The tension rises, so don't miss the final installment of Daylight War.

Start to finish, Peter V. Brett's wonderful immersive world fought by human and demon alike. So many character arcs with lots of growth and change. Heroes and villains, plots and conflicts. Truly an abundant worthwhile series that will make you satisfied when you return to the book series after a period of time. A timeless series cheering for all humanity and our own favorite people that snuggle in close to our heart.

I loved the series but this one kind of left us hanging at the end... waiting for the next one.
Great addition to the series by Andrea (Posted on 11/13/2014)
I thought this was the end of the series, but clearly, there's at least one more book to go! The music really stands out in this title, from the fiddling to the haunting melodies of the Krasians (though sometimes it's hard to understand speech that goes over louder music). My one complaint is the audio on the love scenes. Hearing every moan and groan does not add anything to the listening experience; it's just awkward and doesn't fit in with the actual text of the books.
Outstanding, but looks like a wait for more... by Armand (Posted on 11/8/2014)
I will certainly watch for the next releases! It's worth the wait!
the daylight war part 2 by Christian (Posted on 10/26/2014)
fantastic books and brilliant audio. but I still feel like the last book rather stopped abruptly, am I the only one that felt it like that?
are there supposed to be a part 3 for the daylight war? haven't read the book 3 myself so don't know if the ending I heard is the ending it's supposed to be.
I Want More Books! by Armand (Posted on 10/16/2014)

A Few Important Considerations. by REGINALDO (Posted on 2/1/2014)
Ok. The book is fantastic so far...So This review is about the recording itself, the work of GA per se.
The blatant changes in pronunciation and accent from book to book are more than just annoying, they're distracting and in my opinion take away from the whole GA experience, I mean from JARED to GARRED, from SHA-ROOM to SHA-RAHM from E-NOK-SAHN to AH-NOOK-SOON etc. Plus the sudden change in Arlen's accent from Desert Spear to Daylight War giving him a longer draw and higher pitch. So please avoid these things. Apart from these little things. FANTASTIC BOOK and FABULOUS RENDITION.
LOVE IT by debbie (Posted on 1/30/2014)
I just want to know one thing....when is the next one being released..LOL it's important for my sanity.
Absolutely Epic & Moving!!! by Albert (Posted on 1/14/2014)
I have rarely thought an audiobook could evoke such emotion from me, but i stand corrected with tears of nerdy bliss! This thing is absolutely perfect in its audio execution… from effects to performances to the nuances of music during a scene. May future generations know such beauty as simple sound waves from the works of GraphicAudio! All honor to Peter V Brett… damn man, perhaps you are the deliverer! lol

Awesome new book by Scott (Posted on 1/1/2014)
I first found this series here in the Warded Man and loved it so much that I went and read the second book and then bought it again when it came out here. The third book doesn't disappoint. I loved it. The only thing I didn't love was how quickly it was over. I wished they released parts all at once so we could listen to the whole book faster. One thing that distinguishes the Graphic Audio Demon Cycle books and this book especially from other series on this website is the music and atmosphere they generate. The music and songs made for these books have been really good and stand out and makes the whole experience more immerse. I loved it.
