In the year 2060, Zach Johnson, the world's only freelance private investigator, tackles his strangest case yet-solving the murders of two elves at the North Pole. Santana Clausa, the micro-mini skirt clad bombshell and frost-haired mutant who runs the Pole hires Zach to stop the killer or killers before they strike again, destroying the Holiday for billions. If the media gets whiff of the murders at the "happiest, safest place on Earth," mass panic is sure to ensue-and that's never a good thing. With the happiness of billions at stake, Zach and HARV (his A.I. companion wired directly to his brain-yes it was as painful as it sounds) will match wits, muscle, and technology against a bevy of superhuman females, a mutant elf with an attitude, killer robots, and even a couple of nerds with an agenda.

Reviews

The frost haired vixen by John (Posted on 8/13/2017)
Another good one. Very creative way of taking present customs and projecting future interpretations. I love Santana's smooth voice, and the characterizations of the elves. The end game on this one gets a bit "samey." I hope the author starts changing up a bit on the plot conclusions for future installments.

Still a great listen!
Great installment in a fantastic series by Amy (Posted on 8/31/2016)
After going on a GA Mistborn binge, it was nice to go back to another beloved series with this book. I loved being back with Zack and the crew. Once again, the mystery was excellent, and the acting superb.

My favorite part of this series is the character development. In that aspect, Harv stole the show. His development was astounding.

I cannot wait to see where my beloved characters go!
Not as good as previous episodes, but worth the lesson. by Justin (Posted on 3/10/2016)
As far as the graphic audio production is concerned, they did a good job as usual. Acting and sound effects were well done. The story itself didn't quite work for me. Previous episodes were more interesting. I didn't even like the humor this time, but that's most likely my own tastes evolving. Over all, it's worth the listen if you've enjoyed the rest of the series.
More naughty than nice by Idongesit (Posted on 10/24/2015)
While the mystery get me interested and engaged, the payoff in the end wasn't as dramatic or sensible as I would've liked. HARV's and Zack's character wasn't as balanced as in the previous three. Santanna was great though. Hope things get better in the next one.

Thumbs up by Victor (Posted on 7/30/2015)
Interesting story. Great twist on the North Pole, holiday. Thankfully wasn't lead story in the series. Didn't find it as funny, entertaining as the previous three. Worth the listen, but shy of the excellence of the previous stories.
Not my favorite. by Howard (Posted on 4/9/2015)
I enjoyed this story enough to keep listening and I will certainly get the next story (which has been reviewed much more positively) but this episode was weaker than the first three in a lot of ways. This one is probably the low point in the series, but if you enjoy the series you won't want to miss it. Cameo appearances by characters from previous adventures help to spice things up a bit.
Wow! Is Santa really like this? by Armand (Posted on 11/10/2014)
Oh Boy! Never thought of the north pole in this way! Enjoy!

The frost haired vixen by Ron (Posted on 1/24/2014)

this one's all right by Joe (Posted on 8/23/2013)
starts off slow, but it's still funny as all get-out.
i ike it either way
...explosively entertaining audiobook by AudioFile Magazine (Posted on 8/19/2013)
One part noir, one part science fiction, and one part comedy mixed with equal parts full cast, sound effects, and musical score produces an explosively entertaining audiobook. The world's last detective, Zack Johnson, along with his artificially intelligent sidekick, Harv, has been sent to the North Pole to determine who has been killing Santanna's elves--but nobody is happy with the investigation, and people keep trying to kill them. GraphicAudio delivers another well-balanced aural experience for listeners with Richard Rohan perfectly capturing the sarcastic, charming Johnson. A host of well-chosen actors portrays the other zany characters. The production's music and sound effects blend seamlessly with the narrative, elevating this production to a level well beyond that of the average audiobook. L.E. © AudioFile 2013, Portland, Maine

I love all Nuclear Bombshell episodes, but this was my least favorite of the first 6. It was still an entertaining episode, though. For the Nuclear Bombshell fan, still a pick up!
