John Thomas Rourke, M.D., ex-CIA Covert Operations Officer, weapons expert, and survival authority, has accomplished one of his goals-he's helped his young friend Paul Rubinstein locate his parents. Now, Rourke's search for his own family must continue, hampered by severe storms raging along the Eastern Seaboard caused by the earthquakes which destroyed Florida.

Rourke picks up his relentless quest, avoiding the Russian troops searching for the missing data on the enigmatic Eden Project ,and rides into the most bizarre situation he's discovered since the Night of the War.

Life in the Tennessee mountain village is all too normal, seemingly unaffected by the war. It is there that John Thomas Rourke finds himself in the middle of a mass suicide pact... and is expected to participate!

While battles rage and blizzards roar, Rourke fights to escape. He must go on-he is The Survivalist.

This one kinda goes weird. by Wayne (Posted on 11/10/2014)
But it comes back around. John is still looking for his family. I'm starting to get frustrated with how long it takes to get there. It was funny in the previous story when he saw her on the dock and didn't know it was her and comment that she had nice legs. I laughed at that. He didn't know it was his wife and he liked her legs.
Good. by tyler (Posted on 9/20/2014)
Another good entry in the series. I look forward to the next one.
Survivalist 5 : The Web by robert (Posted on 7/30/2014)
This one started strong, then went "strange" with the ending and the suicide pact town. Loving the continuity of this series, bummed they haven't put him back together with his family yet. Graphic audio treatment was excellent as always.
The Survivalist #5 The Web by Steven (Posted on 6/10/2014)
Narowly escaping the destruction of Florida with Natalia and Paul, they split off on separate missions Rourke takes refuge in a town hidden in the back country, untouched by the war and everything seems normal, almost. Then the Russians arrive searching for a factory that manufactured components for the still mysterious Eden project while the townspeople prepare to celebrate the end. Just great.
Wow! by Patrick Capuano (Posted on 4/15/2014)
The great series continues, this time with Rourke falling into a bizarre (but awesome) trap and battling through storms and Russian troops. The excitement never slows in this series and GA's audio production always delivers a movie in your mind!

I have all of the Survivalist books out so far and can't wait for the next one. You will enjoy them all, trust me. A great entertaiment source for truckers and all over the road travilers. Recomend listening in order from book 1 to get the full and complete story.
