Kylara had to leave a bright future as a military cadet, and was thrown into the brutal world of off-world trading. This subsequent career in the family business was tough: marked by war, mutiny and attempted assassination. But then her home was attacked and her parents killed - their trading empire left in ruins. Now she must save what is left of the family and the business, with few friends and too few assets.

She must make full use of her hard-won experience to not just survive, but to restore the shattered fortunes of the Vatta family and their allies.

Now, Kylara Vatta, space-trader and sometime privateer, has destined herself for a dangerous and unpredictable future. She will muster an interplanetary taskforce and forge them into a lethal weapon: one that the pirates who destroyed her family will never forget...

Command Decision by G. (Posted on 9/18/2018)
It's not just the story itself, but the narration is just enough not to be intrusive, but yet adds to the background. Great production.

This series has our interest in kaylara's adventures peaked. The voice acting in of the best quality. Thx Graphic Audio
Stakes Get Higher by Travis (Posted on 9/22/2016)
I really enjoyed this won. The stakes get higher and higher with Kylara trying to create a space fleet and Stella running Vatta Transport. The voice acting is superb, as always, and the music, sound effects, and other background sounds add to the enjoyment of listening to the production.
Increasing the Stakes by Catdaddy (Posted on 9/18/2014)
In Book 4, our heroes are now on three different paths, and the stakes seem to be even higher. Moreover, “Command Decision” begins with more intensity than in the bridging book 3, “Engaging the Enemy", as Kylara gets more accustomed to military leadership. But here, Rafe's Journey is just as compelling, featuring strong supporting characters in his arc and gripping intrigue.
Book 4 features some genuinely delightful new supporting characters, ranging from the ludicrously flamboyant Teddy Ransome to shadowy Gary, voiced by Richard Rohan using the deep ‘Batman tones’ in some tense action scenes. The story requires familiarity with at least "Marque and Reprisal” and "Engaging the Enemy.”

Again, the rating is a soft PG-13, with some intense violence and a bit of bloodshed, but no sex and, sometimes incongruously, no "bad language" at all.

I love it, I drive a lot, and have no problem staying awake while listening to it.

Couldn't wait for Part 2. This is the best installment so far. The writing is spectacular, the characters most entertaining. This is a MUST HAVE series.
