22 : Rider, Reaper

by James Axler
Mar 1, 2007
6 Hours
Ages 18+
The red-baked mountains of New Mexico offer a peaceful interlude for Ryan Cawdor and a reunion with Jak Lauren. But in the violent post-holocaust world of Deathlands, survival is a blood-soaked game-and Ryan's idyll becomes a mission of revenge.

The quarry is the General and his band of paramilitary killers. Roving and plundering the Southwest, the General travels with an unsurpassed armory, his troops unchallenged, his agenda unstoppable..

Allied with local vengeance-hungry Indians, Ryan Cawdor and his warrior survivalists begin a cross-desert manhunt on horseback through the acrid canyon lands, where danger waits in the form of fifteen-foot rattlesnakes, acid-rain hurricanes-and a man who grimly prepares to destroy his pursuers.

Hope died in the Deathlands, but the will to live goes on.

Payback by Vann (Posted on 4/7/2016)
Vengeance is a dish best served. Cold, warm, or hot, it matters little when it comes to paying back for a grievous crime like this story opens with. The crew is faced with a few situations in this plot, but Jak is his old self, true to form and fast with a blade. This story was well executed, the voices were spot on and it was yet another wonderful performance.

Review by Eric Convery (Posted on 5/23/2013)
Once again, the cast and crew of GraphicAudio have worked their magic, pulling off an excellent adaptation of a Deathlands title.

Rider, Reaper's main villain, The General, is truly insane. And, without giving away any major plot spoilers, Rider, Reaper served as a great and emotional re-introduction to the character of Jak Lauren. High praise and kudos to everyone involved in the making of this GraphicAudio adaptation!
