Ghost Finders
3 : Ghost of A Dream

by Simon R. Green
Jan 1, 2015
6 Hours
Ages 18+
Meet the Carnacki Institute’s operatives—JC Chance: the team leader, brave, charming, and almost unbearably arrogant; Melody Chambers: the science geek who keeps the antisupernatural equipment running; and Happy Jack Palmer: the terminally gloomy telepath. Their mission: Do Something About Ghosts. Lay them to rest, send them packing, or just kick their nasty ectoplasmic arses…

JC, Happy and Melody are investigating a haunting at the long-abandoned Haybarn Theater, which is being renovated. But work has been thrown off-schedule by some peculiar and unnatural activities and a homeless man who appears to have been scared to death. After the potentially world-altering recent events of their previous assignment at Chimera House, the team thinks that a haunted theater (aren't they all?) will be a walk in the park.

Then they encounter the Faust — an ancient evil whose ability to alter reality itself will test their skills, science, and blind luck of the Ghost Finders to the limit.

A bit subdued compared to the last entry by Zack (Posted on 2/28/2019)
This third entry in the Ghost Finders series isn’t quite as wacky as the previous two, which is honestly kind of a nice change. I like Simon R. Green’s work but it is possible to get a bit burned out on the kind of no-holds-barred campiness that marks his style. If you come into this title hoping for the level of wackiness from the second book, you might actually be a little disappointed at the slightly subdued tone, but this is still five hours well passed.

Love this series by Jamee (Posted on 1/16/2015)
Take it from a dedicated customer of 6+ years.....quality & sound production are of course excellent as expected from GA. This is the third installment of this series and I highly recommend starting at book 1 to make the storyline & characters flow in sync. This series is a new favorite....great listen added to my ever expanding collection.

I enjoyed Graphic Audio's version more than the unabridged version.
Between first and second by damien (Posted on 12/15/2014)
I thought that the second Ghost Finders was an improvement over the first outing, this one feels like a bit of a step back. Overall it has a little different feel, it's a bit less over the top and campy than the previous entries. It's not a bad story, but it's a bit slow and predictable particularly compared to the madcap antics of the second story. Hard to judge but it was a decent entry that likely was dragged a little down by source material. Voice acting and sound effects were solid.
