Rogue Angel
4 : The Chosen

by Alex Archer

Archaeologist Annja Creed believes there''s more to the apparitions of Santo Niño-the Holy Child-luring thousands of pilgrims to Santa Fe. Other sightings of strange and anomalous creatures in the area indicate a mystery more profane than sacred-with links, perhaps, to Annja''s own fate. But she is not alone in her quest to separate reliquaries from unholy minds who dare to harness sinister power. A dangerous yet enigmatic Jesuit, sworn to protect the Vatican at any cost, a brilliant young artist whose genius portrays a truth too potent for words and a famed monster hunter with a terrifying agenda are the keys to the secrets that lie in the heart of Los Alamos-and unlocking the door to the very fabric of time itself.

The Rogue Angel series is fantastic.
The Chosen by Chris (Posted on 12/2/2016)
This novel features all of the action adventure stuff that you'd expect from a Rogue Angel book, that tying together of mystery, action and drama that will no doubt offer the listener/reader with lots of entertainment. The pacing is on the money as well, dishing out the clues and various sequences in a logical manner. The plot itself played out nicely, but also offered enough chaos to allow this feeling of reactionary behaviours from the characters therein.

Annja was also allowed to make some mistakes as well, which is quite refreshing. Having somebody just as good as she is was a nice contrast to the other books as well. It places her in an odd predicament, caught between fear and respect whilst at the same time wondering whether she can trust him. He takes up the role that her mentor seems to avoid as well, offering advice and support as needed. [Spoiler] However, their parting is foreshadowed from the first scene in which he is introduced.

I really liked this installment of the series and hope that the latter sequence has some lasting effect on the preceding novels. I really liked this one as it offered enough contrast with the previous.

Another great story! The sounds really set the scene. I love that the same actors play the same people throughout series so far. It give continuity. Keep up the stories!
Rogue Angel 4 The Chosen by Valerie (Posted on 9/30/2015)
This story was really creepy to me. Why? First, I started to listen to it nighttime. Second, the sounds of the monsters made when they cried. However, I really liked it anyway. I just learned my lesson about listening to it at night.

Great Story! by sue (Posted on 5/25/2014)
This story will keep you on the edge of your seat. It maintains pattern of "pre-story" then introduction format that I really enjoy! If you like the voice actors of Graphic Audio - you will really enjoy this work :))
Review by Wayne Noble (Posted on 5/23/2013)
This was a decent story. It was actually kinda hard to follow. I was easily distracted on this one. A little more cussing but no immoral scenes in this one. I really think Graphic could work on the music score on these things and they would be a lot better. The music score builds emotion and helps pull you into the moment. Well I give it a 3 because it just wasn't up to the same intensity as the other three. Not Graphic's fault just the storyline.
