Ancient papyrus scrolls recovered among the charred ruins of the Library of Alexandria reveal astonishing texts that detail the wonders of Atlantis-knowledge that could shatter the blueprint of world energy. Archaeologist Annja Creed confronts shadow figures determined to preserve empires built on power, greed and global manipulation, finding unlikely allies in a mysterious American with connections in high places, and a young linguistics prodigy with attitude. Dodging a petroleum conglomerate and their pet killers on a high-speed chase that leads from Egypt to the North Sea oil fields to the urban battlegrounds of China, Annja becomes an unwilling conspirator in a bid for power to control the beating heart of the world''s energy.

The Lost Scrolls by Chris (Posted on 12/28/2016)
I found myself singing The Indiana Jones theme in my head a lot while reading this book. The whole story was a wild ride of constant action reminiscent of a Indiana Jones movie. From the first attack and kidnap on a dig sight, to globe trotting, to trying constantly get away, this is an enjoyable action/suspense novel I have come to expect from Alex Archer.

Well done! by Sarah (Posted on 1/3/2016)
I'm really loving this series. That Doug character is well played and he gets on my nerds just like he does with anya. Just wow!
Ok. by Charles (Posted on 3/19/2015)
Lots of action. Seemed like something was missing from the story.
Action packed twists and turns you will love! by sue (Posted on 9/21/2014)
This story is full of action and has lots of Anja Stone - but be aware, it is one you will have to listen to carefully.

It is a story about Lost Scrolls but the scrolls are not so much the point. Its the action packed adventure between Anja and the people she encounters on her adventures - specifically an attractive male adventure seeker. They quickly travel across the country protecting the scrolls from hidden enemies everywhere.

Its a challenging story but well worth listening to!

Liked the fast pace great action.
Annja the Barbarian by Brandon (Posted on 2/6/2014)
This was not my favorite, but not my least favorite, of the RA series. The premise was enticing, but ultimately it fell flat. The ending reeked of Deus Ex Machina. I actually had to rewind and listen again thinking "That's it?!?"
My other beef had to do with Annja's Conan-like prowess with the sword. She was hacking people to bits, skewering them with reckless abandon and slicing and dicing her way through every scene. It just didn't seem like Annja.
The voice acting is, as always, perfection. The production is easily 5 stars. The actual content was slightly lacking, however.

This is once again a story that takes off as fast as Annja can draw her sword! Plenty of action, well written storyline. My hat's off to you GA!

After a few "good" outings, this one was a slam-bang return to the "great" action-packed adventure.

Excellent story, lots of action. Well done GA!
Review by Wayne Noble (Posted on 5/23/2013)
This story kept a fast pace from the beginning. That was good. But it seemed that is all they did. You never found out the purpose. The ending was terrible. It's as if the author ran out of ideas for places that they could go and couldn't figure out how to end it so he just ended it the way that he did. I found the ending very poor. It didn't fit in anyway with the story and wasn't right. None the less GA did fine. The music score is getting better but I would still like to see GA use more emotional scores for their stories. Otherwise an alright story.
