17 : Fury's Pilgrims

by James Axler
Aug 1, 2006
6 Hours
Ages 18+
A bad jump from a near-space Gateway leaves Ryan Cawdor and his band of warrior survivalists in the devastated heart of the American Midwest. Moving through the ruins in the safety of an abandoned war wag, they discover a small community that was once the sprawling metropolis of Chicago.

The town seems devoid of life, until the first night, when Krysty Wroth vanishes without a trace. Then the group is attacked, leaving Doc Tanner gravely wounded. Ryan realizes that someone, or something, wants them gone-or dead.

He captures an attacker and learns that the town is run by a tribe of nocturnal female mutants. But not even torture yields any word of Krysty. Ryan fears for her life, especially since she''s a woman.

In the Deathlands, life is a contest where the only victor is death.

Hang in there Doc
Review by Charles (Posted on 4/11/2016)
I am so addicted to the DeathLands series. I buy them on cd at truck stops around the country. Makes the driving time go by so fast.
Fury's Pilgrims by Glenn (Posted on 11/11/2015)
I found this episode to be a bit ill-paced , still some action of course , it is Deathlands , but not at the level expected. The only saving grace for me came from the parts with Doc. His is such an interesting and heartbreaking story. More so as you find out more about his family. All in all a good story just no where near one of my favorites.
Just for the Introduction of it by Vann (Posted on 2/25/2015)
While the plot of finding Kristy was good, the rest felt a little disjointed at times, but still a "4 headphones" listen. Having 'freed' another freezie from the past, Doc becomes a little unhinged mentally when he relives the time trawl process and sees video of he and his wife from back in the day. Dean still trying to prove himself, and the group looking for a Jak replacement still, weaves an interesting plot through the depths of old Chicago.
Slickman The Man by Larry (Posted on 2/16/2015)
Avery good book to add you your audio books
Fury's Pilgrims by Linda (Posted on 11/28/2014)
Now in Chicago they have stickies on there butt's. Krysty go missing no were to be found.Doc hangs on for dear life.
Deathlands Fury's Pilgrims by Steven (Posted on 6/6/2014)
A chance for Doc to go home, and Michael Brother snatched from the past just as Doc was. Ruined Chicago & the Midnights awaiting their chance to grab Krysty as their long expected messiah.

The entire series of Deathlands rocks. I have yet to find any audio books capable of capturing the attention or being so addictive as these. It only takes one book for someone to become addicted, doesn't matter were you start. Just can't say enough about the series.... : - )
