82 : Apocalypse Unborn

by James Axler
Nov 1, 2008
6 Hours
Ages 18+
Reborn primeval in the fires of thermonuclear hell, America''s aftermath is one of manifest evil, savage endurance and lingering hope. Traversing the lawless continent on a journey without destination, Ryan Cawdor seeks humanity in an inhuman world. In the Deathlands, life is cheap, death is free and survival demands the highest price of all.

Magus is a steel-eyed cybernetic sociopath whose bloodlust knows no bounds. Now, the savage Pacific isles above a long-submerged Southern California are his new arena. Ryan wants a second chance to chill Magus once and for all. But as the ringmaster of torture orchestrates his magnum opus, a stunning sideshow is under way. Pre-Dark white coats believe they have found the key to turn back time and intercept the deed that erased human history.

But in the Deathlands, there is no turning back. Or is there?

Deathlands #82 Apocalypse Unborn by Steven (Posted on 6/10/2014)
Another deadly encounter with the Magus who is recruiting an army of cold hearts who in reality are slaughterd in deadly killing games. And 2 sleepers who are scientists from the past want to send Doc back home and rewrite history.
Good Fun, and Good SciFi by Tad (Posted on 2/17/2014)
A two-story episode, featuring a "Doc Tries to Go Home to the 19th Century" narrative, combined with an all-out war between the companions and wave after wave of various muties, sent by The Magus.
Anytime Ryan, Jac, Kristy and Mildred are in video game mode, killing muties by the dozens, it's a good listen, but GA does a good job of weaving the second storyline in, a good yarn about Doc time-traveling, and the always interesting questions of disrupting the timestream, parallel universes, etc. Overall, a very tightly-produced, good listen!
