99 : Perception Fault

by James Axler
Nov 1, 2011
5 Hours
Ages 18+
The ravaged landscape that was America two centuries ago is now blighted by post-nuclear holocaust savagery. Still, there remain pockets of preDark technology that may offer undiscovered paths to reclaiming the future. Ryan Cawdor and his companions have faced most kinds of horror that Deathlands can deliver-and survived. This merciless place can break even the strongest, but it has yet to destroy hope.

Denver offers a glimpse of that very hope-a power plant, electricity, food and freedom. But the city is caught in a civil war between two would-be leaders and their civilian armies. Challenged by both sides to do their bidding, Ryan discovers a third player in the quest to control the mile-high city-a secret enclave of White Coats with the strength and technology to pursue a twisted agenda of their own.

No spoilers review by Chris (Posted on 11/23/2017)
The Companions are caught in the middle in this one, plenty of interesting twists. I wish they could've explained a little more about the rebel leader's history with Denver and with the White Coat's internal dramas. Could've easily expanded another hour of story.

Deathlands #99 Perception Fault by Steven (Posted on 6/11/2014)
Denver has it all, electricity, food , but just maybe there is a catch. Whitcoats again have there own hidden agenda.
Deathlands Democracy in Denver by Tad (Posted on 6/9/2014)
The Free City of Denver acts as site for this morality tale about democracy and tyranny. The companions are gallant as usual, and there are some great scenes involving pre-dark remnants (Star Wars, for one...) that add a chuckle. Typical top-notch production values.
