Ages 13+
For archaeologist and TV show host Annja Creed, a restful vacation in Costa Rica is as elusive as a rare artifact. Days into her sojourn, Annja's peace is interrupted by a woman with a mysterious—and enticing—tale. Weeks earlier, her husband led an expedition into the rain forest, in search of the lost treasure of Lima, and hadn't returned. The priceless hoard was smuggled out of Peru during the country's nineteenth-century revolt against Spain. But it disappeared when a ship captain went mad with greed.

Twenty-six expeditions have gone after the treasure. And twenty-six expeditions have vanished.

Sympathetic to the woman's distress, Annja agrees to head up a rescue party for her missing husband. And Annja can't deny her own interest in the lost hoard. Now the fates of two expeditions are at stake, along with a fortune in gold, silver and jewels rumoured to be exquisite. But the dense jungle of Cocos Island guards its primitive secrets well. Danger lurks beneath the ancient green canopy. And this time, Annja doesn't see it coming...

A great, fast moving book. I especially enjoyed the part when she met the Queen and had no idea who she was until a bit firt her in the story. Would recommend this good to anyone who wants an adventure.

This story takes you around the mountain and then back again. Is is just me or does it seem like Annya is always getting knocked unconscious? Whats with that? I thought the sword made her much better than that. It seems she's always getting caught now and knocked out. Whatever. I've just noticed that a lot here lately.

all the rogue angel books keep you coming back for more and this one was no exception just when you think one person is the victim they turn out to be the enemy and the action keeps you on the edge of your seat. Love it...
Another Great Annja Creed Adventure! by Joseph (Posted on 6/22/2014)
Just finished listening to "Rouge Angel - Treasure of Lima" released by Graphic Audio.
Mom, Dad, and I always loved listening to the latest audio adventures of Annja Creed. I always like to think they're in the van with me when I play the latest one.
Annja is spending a few vacation days in Peru after shooting the latest episode of Chasing History's Monsters when she interceeds on behalf of a woman she sees crying. Annja soon learns that the woman's husband, a fellow archeologist, has gone missing while searching an island for the legendary lost Tresure of Lima.
What makes this adventure pretty exciting is pirates, lost treasrue, a lost civilization, and a mysterious woman who knows that Annja is the sword barer.
Action packed, with Annja showing herself to be capable of making poor decisions based on emotional responses without taking a moment or two to check out a person's story and background.
Highly Recommended!

I normally listen to super hero stories, but this one was interesting. It's not bad at all, I just like more action and suspense in my stories.
