Who is the Hero of Ages?

To end the Final Empire and restore freedom, Vin killed the Lord Ruler. But as a result, the Deepness---the lethal form of the ubiquitous mists---is back, along with increasingly heavy ashfalls and ever more powerful earthquakes. Humanity appears to be doomed.

Having escaped death at the climax of The Well of Ascension only by becoming a Mistborn himself, Emperor Elend Venture hopes to find clues left behind by the Lord Ruler that will allow him to save the world. Vin is consumed with guilt at having been tricked into releasing the mystic force known as Ruin from the Well. Ruin wants to end the world, and its near omniscience and ability to warp reality make stopping it seem impossible. She can’t even discuss it with Elend lest Ruin learn their plans!

The conclusion of the Mistborn trilogy fulfills all the promise of the first two books. Revelations abound, connections rooted in early chapters of the series click into place, and surprises, as satisfying as they are stunning, blossom like fireworks to dazzle and delight. It all leads up to a finale unmatched for originality and audacity that will leave readers rubbing their eyes in wonder, as if awaking from an amazing dream.

Reviews

Really good by Jason (Posted on 8/26/2018)
The plot continues to unfold for the third and final chapter of this arc. Here you really learn that the new threat that was unleashed is actually a world ending threat. I actually knocked off a star/headphone because the store focuses on a character that I haven't really cared for throughout the series and still don't care for too much. It does play a part in the overall story but for the part that it plays is overly drawn out. The performance was great (voice acting, sound effects, and music)
Deeper & deeper by Ryan (Posted on 6/1/2018)
We are diving into the meat of the prophecies and did a great job of having a character be depressed without it becoming depressing for the audience.
Mistborn Hero of Ages Part 2 by Buchanan (Posted on 2/18/2018)
This graphic audio recording included several amazing performances by an elite cast that coupled well with an equally impressive and entertaining story.

Coming Together by Odis (Posted on 12/14/2016)
Mr. Sanderson knows his business. His reveals are just unbelievable. The Mistborn series, and Graphic Audio, continue to be nothing short of pure awesome.
Eat it up by mike (Posted on 11/24/2016)
I just can't get enough of this series ... I've listened to it twice now ... GA really nailed it with the casting of VIN.
Mistborn 3 - Part 2 by Travis (Posted on 11/10/2016)
I'm really enjoying the expansion of Spook's character, and all the roles everyone else is playing. Vin has a lesser part to play in this part of the book, but it is interesting to see how everyone else is getting along. GA continues to exceed my expectations with their adaptions. Nathanial Perry has done a great job adaption this series. The narration and voice acting is on point, as is the sfx and music.
Who is the Hero of Ages? by John (Posted on 9/28/2016)
I really love how the artwork across the 3 parts try and hint at which it could be. Vin, Sazed or Spook. Great candidates and adds to the suspense of getting to the end to find out. Having Vin trapped in that cavern added much to the tension.

The interludes that precede each chapter reveal so much and I had to much fun with the great moments of revelation about Hemalurgy and the truths about the Lord Ruler. An amazing fun read that brought the reader some much needed explanation and satisfaction that was left at the end of Well of Ascension.

Truly a fantastic book and Graphic Audio does it well and makes the simplistic Audible experience quite lackluster. Not to besmirch the name of Michael Kramer at all, mind you.

Get this book and have all the insights and secrets about the World of Ash revealed at long last.
Simply Amazing, part 2 by Amy (Posted on 8/24/2016)
This is still a brilliant adaptation. Pure excellence.
Love the magic systems by Steven (Posted on 8/14/2016)
The magic systems in these books are awesome, allomancy, ferochemy, and henolurgy. Sanderson really outdid himself in this series with how complex the storyline is and how everything fits together. A great book in my opinion.
Mistborn Rules! by Lionel (Posted on 6/6/2016)
Another great part to this series. Finally some questions we've been wondering about are starting to come out!
A Fantastically Strong Ending by Cassiopeia (Posted on 5/5/2016)
With her external relationships taken care of and her internal struggles mostly assuaged, Vin takes a backseat in this story in deference to Emperor Elend Venture. Thoroughly changed from who he was, Elend is struggling to find out who he is and that makes for a far more interesting discovery than Vin's apparent ease with everything she attempts. Elend's struggles feel real and strongly emotional, with much of that due to his fabulous voice actor, and I felt neither cheated nor disappointed by the character's rise to heroism. This isn't the same Elend from the first story and yet, at the same time, it is. Combining Brandon Sanderson's fabulous storytelling with GraphicAudio's unparalleled team, The Hero of Ages is definitely worth the price.
Keeping you guessing... by William (Posted on 3/14/2016)
The middle of this book simply keeps you on your toes! Once you think you understand another piece to the puzzle the puzzle itself is altered and the piece doesn't fit!! The battles are enthralling and the characters as always are brought to life in your mind thanks to the awesome work of Graphic Audio and Brandon Sanderson!!

Looking forward to listening to the next installment of the saga.
GraphicAudio's Masterpiece by Bryant (Posted on 4/5/2015)
This series was already one of the best of it's generation in my eyes, and GraphicAudio made a masterpiece of an audio performance - easily the best series I've listened to by this company. Huge thanks for sticking with it - anyone who is torn, give the first book a try. You won't be disappointed; great writing backed up by a stellar performance.
Bring on the end by sam (Posted on 3/31/2015)
Know how this is going to end but I'm still excited
This is kind of a "middle part" of the third book by Patrik (Posted on 3/10/2015)
The tempo is somewhat slower than the first part of the book. Its main focus is to build up and prepare for the Grand Finale!
mistborn the final empire by David (Posted on 2/26/2015)
