2 : The Well of Ascension (3 of 3)

Evil has been defeated. The war has just begun.

They did the impossible, deposing the godlike being whose brutal rule had lasted a thousand years. Now Vin, the street urchin who has grown into the most powerful Mistborn in the land, and Elend Venture, the idealistic young nobleman who loves her, must build a healthy new society in the ashes of an empire.

They have barely begun when three separate armies attack. As the siege tightens, an ancient legend seems to offer a glimmer of hope. But even if it really exists, no one knows where to find the Well of Ascension or what manner of power it bestows.

It may just be that killing the Lord Ruler was the easy part. Surviving the aftermath of his fall is going to be the real challenge.

Ahhhhh!!!! by William (Posted on 2/4/2019)
Great conclusion with some awesome action, crazy plot twists, and a desire to start The Hero of Ages immediately!
Absolutely Great by Jason (Posted on 8/26/2018)
The second book comes to a close and it is really great. There is more action in this part then the other five previous parts. The armies finally attack in one big major battle. One particular character uncharacteristically breaks bad and it is awesome and epic. Really the entire battle is pretty epic. Also at the very end of the book the new threat emerges and is released. You're not really certain what this means because it is not entirely explained yet but you know it when it happens and it is bad. The book unlike the first one does not end cleanly. It's not really a cliffhanger but the story is absolutely not complete. The performance was great (voice acting, sound effects, and music)
More please by Ryan (Posted on 6/1/2018)
Can I listen to book three NOW? What an amazing ending that segways book three perfectly.
Interesting characters and story by paresh (Posted on 5/2/2018)
Interesting characters and story. Totally worth the time and money.
THAT ENDING...! by Diego (Posted on 1/22/2017)
There are plot twists and then there are PLOT TWISTS the kind Brandon Sanderson pulled for the ending of this fantastic sequel. By the Lord Ruler, talk about rioting our emotions and blowing our expecations all the way to hell. And yet the signs where all across the book. Heck, the very first SENTENCE was a clue. And I still couldn't see it coming; the mists where hiding the signs too well. I take my hat off in respect, Mr. Sanderson. That was very well played.

P.S. Poor Sazed. I want to give him a hug so bad :(
I Was Floored by Odis (Posted on 11/21/2016)
The conclusion to the Well of Ascension will leave you speechless. The ending will surprise the heck out of you.
Nail-biting and action packed end to an amazing book by Amy (Posted on 8/23/2016)
This book is truly breathtaking. Graphic Audio is simply brilliant in their adaptation of the Mistborn series. Everything is fantastic.
Book finally gets better by Steven (Posted on 8/14/2016)
Sanderson always does good with endings. This one is no different, be warned, you will want to get the last book of the series when you listen to this one.
Intriguing But Slow by Cassiopeia (Posted on 5/5/2016)
Unlike the first book which focuses on Vin and her external relationships, this book is almost entirely internal with a heavy focus on politics. That makes for somewhat of an awkward verbal adaptation in some areas and yet I feel that GraphicAudio handled it very well. The only real problems I had with this section of the story had to do with the source-material, not the adaptation. I didn't like how Vin seemed to vacillate between extremes, loving Eland one moment then loving Zane the next. The inclusion of Zane in particular felt forced and in many ways unnecessary. I did, however, love the twist ending and the ominous lead-in to the next addition.
The beginning of the end! by William (Posted on 3/14/2016)
This book encompasses what all good fantasy books should be made of! It has intrigue, live, sacrifice and tons of violence!! All of these things simply continue to drive home the story behind this series. The end is surprising and emotional to say the least!!
Mistborn by Chase (Posted on 2/12/2016)
Great series, please make more!
Book 6 by justin (Posted on 12/11/2015)
Really good book
Mind blowing by Helgi Gunnar (Posted on 10/23/2015)
When I started with this story I figured it could not surpass The Final Empire. But then I realized I was wrong, for this story manages to match it in my opinion. Brandon Sanderson knows how to weave a plot together.
awesome by Lionel (Posted on 9/30/2015)
Another wonderfully done part by Graphic Audio. Even after reading this series a few years ago, this production blows me away. Now to get "The Hero of Ages".
"Graphic audio nailed it!" by Arthur (Posted on 6/7/2015)
The end will surprised you and make you get the next set.
Fantastic by Brittany (Posted on 6/3/2015)
I can't believe how this ended!
Will the deepness ever end? Mistborn....
The Well of Ascension 3 by John (Posted on 3/8/2015)
Vin, roar!!

Between Brent Weeks and Brandon Sanderson, my mind's eye is sensationalized. I am enthralled to reach out for each upcoming release.

Johann Dettweiler seems to be the mastermind for this genre types. Thank you Johann.

The voice actors bring such variety and their accents sweeten the story. The music scores added notably behind the dialog evoke emotion, the sound effects amaze the mind.

All this added and mixed properly transforms a latent paged novel into "The Movie in my Mind."
Ho-Ly Crap by Mel (Posted on 2/9/2015)
I never want to stop driving when listening to this. Even after a 3.5 hour drive, I'm almost sad. Driving around town even, it's like I want to keep listening while I'm parked....
I'm getting all misty in here by jeremy (Posted on 1/29/2015)
Ell is getting tuffer, Marsh is getting crazier, and Vin, ...well ..Vin is still Vin, but hey! It's awesome. What did you expect?
Brandon Sanderson and GraphicAudio? Dream Team. by Thomas (Posted on 1/23/2015)
Brandon Sanderson is an excellent writer, Graphic Audio does his work justice.

I bought this months ago, and listened to it in two sittings. Absolutely loved it. The entire series thus far has been very entertaining, filled with memorable characters. I can't recommend this series enough!
Love this series! by mike (Posted on 1/21/2015)
What can I say? Another great GA production.
...and so we end the second book by Patrick (Posted on 1/2/2015)
...and then we end the second book, and yet again we realize that almost nothing that's happened, happened due to the reasons we thought. I like Brandon Sanderson's story telling style. There are small hints everywhere on the next secret to be revealed, but they are very well camouflaged - and you almost never guess what will happen next until it has already happened!

The only thing I miss about the series is the ability to download both the ordinary FLAC-version and the Dolby Surround 5:1 version at some kind of discount. The FLAC version would be for my MP3 player and the the Dolby Surround 5:1 would be for listening on my THX-certified system in my living room.
Final Ascension. by Levictus (Posted on 11/11/2014)

Fantastically awesome by Bryant (Posted on 10/8/2014)
I tried really hard to wait until all three parts of the Well of Ascension were out before I listed to any of them, but failed miserably. I went through all three in three work days. Masterful job - please don't make us wait for the Hero of Ages!
